Better than going to Kansas so I'm ok with it

I'm guessing he failed to reclassify and would rather spend the year in pro ball than HS?

Rumbling sounds like we’re getting Horton
I think Appleby is the better overall player but he is also a year older. They have fairly similar numbers. Horton is a better shooter, has more size and Appleby is a better playmaker. Horton is more of a 2 and Appleby is more of a 1 in terms of positions.

I think that would be the most obvious conclusion based on what we have to work with

Big recruiting weekend coming up. Kevin McPherson has a great breakdown on what is coming up.
If you want to read his whole breakdown, it is here.
quote:
For the first time since late April, Arkansas's coaching staff will be able to attend the various shoe-circuit events to watch prospects during the NCAA-sanctioned live-evaluation period that runs Thursday through Sunday of this week (July 11-14).
Arkansas associate head coach Chris Crutchfield will start out in Atlanta for the Under Armour Association circuit event, assistant coach Corey Williams will be in North Augusta, S.C., for the Nike Peach Jam, assistant coach Clay Moser will be in Hoover, Ala., for the Adidas Gauntlet Summer Championships, and Head Hog Eric Musselman will rotate between events as the four Razorbacks coaches will be evaluating prospects from the 2020, 2021, and 2022 classes.
Among the in-state players the Hogs' staff will be focusing on are four 2020 Arkansas offers who are ranked in the national Top 100: Moses Moody (6-6 wing, Little Rock native, 17U Brad Beal Elite, ESPN national No. 24 / 5-star prospect); Khalen "KK" Robinson (6-1 point guard, Bryant, 17U Nike Pro Skills, 247Sports.com national No. 67 / 4-star prospect); Jaylin Williams (6-10 forward / center, Fort Smith Northside, 17U Woodz Elite, 247Sports.com national No. 75 / 4-star prospect); and Chris Moore (6-6 combo forward, West Memphis, 17U Woodz Elite, 247Sports.com national No. 87 / 4-star prospect).

Delaware transfer Ithiel Horton expected to commit to Pittsburgh, sources told ESPN. Sit one, play three. Excellent outside shooter.

Can't help that one of our best basketball recruiting insiders posts on there. I copy and pasted the most important parts for those that are too scared to visit.

So was recruiting this off season a success?
How big of a loss was Moss? Seems like we didn't really land anyone we thought we would or am I wrong?

Overall I think it went very well for considering where we were right when Musselman joined us. Some thought we would see another 2-3 transfers. Always hard to judge a coach in a short off season like this but we hit some areas of need and got some more depth.

Moss was a significant loss but we already had some good players in that role so I don't think its going to effect us that much. For instance, would have been tough to have Moss, Joe and Jones on the court together in some cases. Would have been a nice problem to have but losing a player like Cylla would have been more concerning because of our lack of depth in the front court.

I think we actually got most of the people that Musselman targeted. I also like the fact we got a decent mix of transfers that will sit one year and will be able to play immediately. IMO Cylla was an excellent pick up. Someone who gives us length and can stretch the floor as a big man which we needed very badly in Musselman's system. My only real complaint is we didn't add a PG that is a great shooter. Whitt is a solid player but, like Harris, struggles from deep. Sills getting more minutes might just be the answer to that. We also have one more spot remaining so we will have to see what happens with that.
Will get a much better read on Musselman with the next class since he will have basically a full year to work on them. We should have at least 3 spots open and that doesn't include any positional transfers next year, anyone leaving for the draft or what we do with the last spot open right now.
Getting KK Robinson, Jaylin Williams and Moses Moody would be a home run in the next class.

Sweet man, wasn't trying to be a downer, just can't stand navigating the recruiting websites and don't have any access to local paper being out of state.
Appreciate the information, truly and looking forward to seeing how things pan out.

Looking forward to it as well. It is fairly clear already that Musselman and his staff are trying to cover a lot of area. Coaches are at three different locations for the upcoming weekend to check people out and Musselman will be rotating between them all.

Otis Kirk is an idiot. McPherson is ok.

At least they post free information and don't get all upset like Danny. Getting mad about reddit compiling recruiting info which people have paid for once the news is out there on places like twitter.

Kirk is what he is. Free info. McPherson is at least digestible.

Compared to the other stuff I have seen, he is better than ok but that is just my opinion. He isn't going to post any crazy insider information or breaking news but does a good job keeping people updated. You could make an argument that he posts way too much on his twitter at times, gets very overwhelming trying to keep up with it on a busy weekend like this coming up.
