First, let's start with basketball. I did some checking on this end to see where things stand with Kyree Walker. Arkansas is still very much interested and still pursuing Walker, and it sounds to me like they like where they're at with him. Assuming everything checks off -- which is always a question that must be answered when you're dealing with reclassifying and transferring around -- they believe there's still an opportunity to add him to the roster. That could change from day to day, but don't write Walker off just yet.

Been waiting on that. I have been hearing that he is truly considering coming to Arkansas.

Would be a nice addition for even a semester. Takes us from a slight possible Tourny team to a what? Dare I dream sweet 16?

With Mason's injury it would be great to get some additional guard help. It sounds like he will be fine and more precautionary but you never know.

With Mason's injury

I'm 95% sure Mason didn't have an injury. I think Muss put him on the bench for a game to get his head right.

I think Muss just threw the shoulder injury thing out there in order to keep it between them and not embarrass him.

If what I think is true it's really a great move by Muss. It lets the team know who's in charge, but also shows some loyalty by keeping it private.

I thought that too. End of GT game was as mad as I've seen Muss so far. He laid into Jones hard and they didn't have much of an encounter when Muss celebrated with the team after the game in that behind the scenes video (neither did Chaney for that matter though).

Also meant to the post the rest:

quote:

- As for adding more bigs, they are currently targeting some JUCO guys and will be exploring transfer options. A source said, "we'll take the best available, we don't care where he's from." So they know there's a need for more size, but it was emphasized to me that they actually feel very good about Reggie Chaney, Connor Vanover, Jaylin Williams and Ethan Henderson going forward. That see that as a solid core but they do hope to add the best available one they can find.

I've had a feeling that Mason knows he is the best player and wants to big time Muss. If he has to be benched or leave don't think coach will hesitate with either to get the program right.

Interesting Henderson is mentioned. Again, unfortunate but he should be getting some minutes on this team and he's not.

Is he that bad? Can't come in and block a few shots, grab some boards? Must be really struggling with defensive contributions is my guess.

He's not aggressive at all. His whole demeanor is too passive.

Heard today Kyree doesn't even have transcripts to submit to the NCAA and has no plans to play CBB?

Could be hearsay but anyone else heard anything?

Danny said earlier in the week that it wasn’t going to happen with Kyree.

Was always going to be a long shot.

He would have helped but we'd have still struggled down the stretch with the lack of size.

Can you post this?

Kansas transfer G Issac McBride commits to Vandy.

Left Kansas mid-September and took unofficial to Arkansas but the Hogs weren't going to offer with these 2020 recruits plus the guards we currently have.

It is really crazy how much this did a turn around in the last year.
