Jefferson and Perry both would have changed the direction of our program big time if we had landed them on campus.

Moody and KK workout video

KK looks quick and smooth.

That lefty shot at the end in the corner

Kind of makes me question how hard we are going after some of these transfers when we see some of our targets going to smaller schools or just other schools in general.

Ruh roh CMA already running off his best players...

@GoodmanHoops: St. John’s L.J. Figueroa is in the transfer portal, per source. Averaged 14.5 points this past season. Significant hit to Mike Anderson and the Red Storm.

Glad I'm not a coach because it sure must be hard balancing wanting to take a guy to have the bird in hand vs. these new and better options entering the transfer portal every day. You don't want to take too many guys too early and miss out on the bigger fish but if you wait you might not get any at all. Gotta love forming a roster on the whims of 20 year old kids.

He was in the portal last year too before Mike got him to return.

Give him credit for at least trying a year with CMA.

Says he is open to all options, transferring, overseas, G League.

Add into the mix of having 2-3 players test NBA waters as well

It would be humorous if we contact him like all other big transfers.

BR's 2021 mock draft has Moody going lottery at #11 btw.

I really hope we get 2 years but seems unlikely.

The latest proof of concept that Moody (6-foot-6 with 7-0.5 wingspan, 200 pounds, shooting guard, Little Rock native) will be selected in the first round comes from Jonathan Wasserman, the lead NBA scout/draft writer for BleacherReport.com, who on Friday released his 2021 NBA mock draft that has Moody sitting pretty at No. 11 overall in the first round

Really feels like we are just recruiting at the moment to stay relevant with some names in case we find out something regarding Joe. Makes me feel a little more positive about the situation.

I've felt this way for a month or more. We use the portal to gather information and develop a relationship if a prior one didn't exist with the staff.

Yeah, just feels more obvious the last month or so. Hard to believe we fill two spots very quickly with two of the top grad transfers and now we struggle to fill one more spot and losing battles to smaller schools. Muss is preparing for anything, just in case we need to fill the extra spot.

Good to see though, most coaches would shut it down if they were fairly certain most of their spots were filled.

St. John's transfer L.J. Figueroa has heard from a number of schools, sources told ESPN, including:

Memphis
Texas Tech
Arkansas
Dayton
Ohio State
Oregon
Georgia Tech
Samford
UCLA
Auburn

Arguably the top available transfer. Averaged 14.5 points and 4.5 rebounds last season.
