Nah but it makes more sense for a person in his position to go to JUCO.

LITTLE ROCK — 2020 Rondel Walker (6-3, 160, combo guard, Putnam City West in Oklahoma, composite national No. 92 / 4-star prospect) was offered a scholarship by the Arkansas Razorbacks during his unofficial visit to Fayetteville on Thursday.

“It went really well,” Walker said. “Great to get an offer. I liked how they framed things, and how I fit in the program.”

Walker, who visited with his parents, was impressed with the Arkansas coaching staff’s presentation.

“I like how they know their players,” he said. “They know how they fit. Players’ coaches.”

Walker said he’ll take official visits to Kansas State (August 7-9) and Virginia Tech (August 13-15). He also holds offers from Oklahoma State, Texas A&M, Rutgers, SMU, Utah, Colorado State, and Texas-San Antonio among others.

Walker said he’ll consider coming back for an official visit to Arkansas.

“We’ll see after looking at everything,” he said.

Yep, and he has had like 15 CBs to Oklahoma state since June (when his brother was hired).

Actually glad when we don't get listed on some of these guys' top 10 or 5 lists. We can move on faster to players with real interest. Not that we were going after him hard anyway.

Write up yesterday by 247 regarding Jaylin Williams
quote:

A breakout player this spring and summer was Jaylin Williams. The four-star center checks in as the No. 70 overall prospect in the class of 2020 according to the industry generated 247Sports Composite, and he continues to be one of the more heavily recruited bigs in the class.

At around 6-foot-9 and 215 pounds, Williams averaged 10.4 points and 9.6 rebounds per game with Woodz Elite in the Nike EYBL, and overall, he feels things went well with his play.

“The spring and summer was a good experience,” said Williams. “It was my first year on the EYBL. We did good as a team, and I think individually I played well. We didn’t play as well in Peach Jam, and individually I wish I would have played better, but it was a good experience.”

About the explosion of offers and college interest that came his due to his strong spring and summer, Williams said, “It was good. My dad and I always talked about my talent, it was just the timing of things and when the coaches would see me.”

For now, Williams says he has no official visits set up, but a handful of schools are definitely showing him the most attention on the recruiting trail.

“Texas A&M, Arkansas, Auburn, and Oklahoma State are the schools recruiting me the hardest right now,” said Williams.

In-state, the Arkansas Razorbacks are making sure to make it clear to Williams that he is a priority, and Williams remains very interested in the Hawgs.

“They like that I am a long athlete that can move, and I can expand the floor and hit the outside shot,” said Williams of Arkansas’ message. “I like that the staff has NBA experience and know what you have to do to reach the highest level of basketball, so that is a good thing.”

I’d say Ethan Henderson based off him not being seen at team events recently.

I would be a little concerned if it was another guard. In general I wouldn't want to take more than 2 sit/play transfers a year just because of depth concerns if you have injuries. That being said, this was a very unique situation because of when Musselman came in and what he had to work with in this class.

With this addition, we will be sitting at 5 Forwards/Centers and 5 Guards for 2020. That is including Henderson. Leaving 3 spots open for 2020, assuming no one leaves early or transfers.

Is it for sure that Connor will have to sit or are they still working on a waiver?

With the expected transfer of another player coming soon, it looks like Coach Muss has been in contact with WKU big man, Galen "Tolu" Smith.

Apparently Gabe did something pretty bad/ stupid off the court and doesn’t sound like he’ll be back. Anybody have any idea what he did? Sure it’ll come out eventually, just curious
