This is probably the leanest instate class we’ve seen in a long time. Hopefully next year cycles back up.

He was never committed to us but for awhile he was projected to land with us. His recruiting got real weird at the end as folks thought he was going to Arkansas then Louisville and finally Tennessee. There were rumors at the time of medical issues and that’s why folks backed off suddenly. Sadly for the kid, it turns out they were true.

Don’t know about him as a player but North Shore is a powerhouse so at the very least it’s a great way to get a foot in the door of that program

You’re not lying. It looks like he’s actually the BACKUP RB to the #1 overall RB in the class. That’s not something you see everyday.

The 2020 class so far is a polar opposite from a typical Bert class. Mostly Texas with the only Arkansas kid from NEA, an area I'm pretty sure Bert never set foot in.

Otis thinks Arkansas could land Vernon broughton. If we get him this staff can stay forever for all I care. There is no way we keep losing with talent like him. He has officially visited Texas, LSU's, Ohio state, us, Texas A&M, and I think bama/Clemson another super blue blood. I will no longer count us out for top Texas talent ever again if this happens.

That would be massive. Hard to teach elite line play and that’s what the great teams always have.
