I've spoken with other sources that have said out of Arkansas, Texas and TCU that the Hogs and Frogs are the top two and that Texas is trailing. Those same sources have said Texas doesn't feel real great about their chances.
TCU is going to schedule an in-home with Catalon this week with Coach Patterson. The good news for TCU in this regard is Herman and Morris have already used their in-homes with Catalon. So, TCU is the only top contender left that will have a HC in Catalon's home.

Who are we dropping for catalon, and henry? I thought it would be myles brooks. Now he isnt leaving. So wtf are we doing here?

Hicks is a proven QB in Chad's system. That alone gives us a very good shot of going 4-0 in our OOC games next season. At that point, we just have to find two more wins.
Look, right now I just want to get back in a bowl game. This program has fallen so far that we just need to take baby steps. Getting bowl eligible would be a nice baby step in Chad's second season.

Even though I believe he is only a little better than Ty from a skill set perspective. I agree that his knowledge of the system is going to be the big upgrade and probably the most important thing we needed in a grad transfer.

Now that is a take I can get behind. We need a Liberty Bowl win/Texas Bowl Win to get us over the hump. Then we can move forward. Recruiting to keep where it is, or better. I hated sitting home two years in a row for bowl season. How wonderful to get into the playoff in the next 3-6 years. It isn't as hard as one would expect. Beat everyone but Bama, and you are in. Possibly lose 2 in some years, and you can still be in with strength of schedule. I would prefer those years be when we are in the cotton bowl.

I'm gonna be pissed if we lose catalon this late but I have a feeling Morris and company will be on him hard until he commits. If we dont get him it wont be because of lack of trying

Sadly i wanted him over Myles brooks, but if he can't make it academically then we made the right choice. What sucks is i would still have wanted to figure out a way to get lakia Henry and Christopher russell. Along with catalon of course. That is now not feasible unless brooks doesnt make his OV and blue shirts.

My 247Sports Crystal Ball has been with the Razorbacks since October and two sources reiterated they think it will be Arkansas when he makes his choice. Texas is also still swinging at Catalon who also strongly considered TCU and Oklahoma among others.
The industry-generated 247Sports Composite ranks Catalon as the nation's No. 20 safety and No. 225 prospect overall. He is a two-way standout on Friday nights excelling under center and in the secondary. He’s a game-changer with the ball in his hands on offense and he is rangy, smart and a playmaker as a defensive back.
As a junior, Catalon racked up 101 tackles, picked off three passes, forced four fumbles, recovered four more and on offense added 1,145 yards passing and 15 touchdowns with another 1,031 yards rushing and 13 more scores. He ran a punt back for a score and is no question one of the best high school football players in the Lone Star State. He racked up 196 tackles, nine interceptions and three fumbles as a sophomore. Injury cut Catalon's senior campaign short.
Catalon plans to play both football and baseball in college.
Arkansas currently has the nation's No. 20 recruiting class per the 247Sports Composite.

Anyone think it's possible Catalon gets a shot at QB? I know he projects as a safety, but it could prove to be difficult to keep his type of talent off of offense.
