Because he knows Penny is fixing to lock down Memphis and he is never going to see the floor.

Memphis is my second team due to living there and I am way more excited about their future.

Lots of star players coming next couple years through Penny and Lawson’s.

Vanover at his size and lack of agility is a defensive liability.

So nice to see us in the running with top players again. We should've never hired a coach from wisconsin. Stick to guys with southern ties.

Arkansas has got to get Henry, Thomas, and Burks no question.

Doesn’t look like he’s going to consider Arkansas this time around. Seems like a mutual decision as the new staff hasn’t really pursued him at all.

Rather surprising how the new staff doesn’t seem interested in him (to this point).

Razor what are your thoughts on none of these instate kids committing early like we hoped? I keep seeing guys like Wilkins and Williams fawning over “bigger” offers and it’s making me a little nervous that we might get steamrolled instate this year. I tend to skew to the pessimistic side regardless but it really seems like other schools are recruiting our state in unprecedented numbers these days
which isn’t ideal for us.

Not overly surprising, this class was always going to get attention from the outside and with everyone living life in their phone on social media, recruits love the attention from offers and visits.

I thought summer would be first we see instate guys jumping on board, some will want to see games and usage though. We have three commits now and I still believe we’ll be 8-12 in the summer time.

Official Visits starting in April and Hogs have four (three OL) scheduled for the 14th but none are Wilkins or Thomas currently.

We need these O line guys to get on board! I do believe though if we see a marked improvement in the O line this year, and get guys like froholdt drafted really high those guys will jump on board in the end.

Forgot to add I think Williams will be one of the earlier ones to jump on board but like Wilkins he’s visiting Bama soon. Also the factors of last years staff and support staff splintering off to these other places can’t be overlooked. EK Franks and some other recruiting staff went to Florida, Daniel Bush who came to Arkansas from Bama went Colorado State in late January only to leave them for Bama at the beginning of this month and you have others that went elsewhere.

I’m most baffled how the last staff didn’t offer Wilkins with the amount of offers he’s accumulated. Jeez and everyone knew how bad our OL play and recruiting had been post Pittman.

The staff needs a big year out of Froholdt who they speak about as the leader up front next year but what can they get out of or turn Wallace, Merrick/Gibson and C Jackson into would really speak for them. Center can only improve post-Franks' ankle injury even with the inexperience of Hays and Clary, and if they can’t cut it put someone else in to snap shotgun.
