Chaney signed meaning the 2018 hoops class all signed on the first day.
We don’t have any available scholarships for 2019 but already have Justice Hill committed and are perusing others. Will be something to watch going forward.
2020 is the next instate headliner group.

Can he come in in January?

Yeah. He’s a midterm grad. He’s from the same JUCO as Tretola.

Dudley E. Dawson @Dedsports
Coach B: Number of recruit spots in the 2018 class will go up now from 15-18 to around 20 guys as some non-impact juniors will be graduating and be honored with seniors.

Looked at the two deep for Miss State, news is that we only lose a couple of starters and a couple of 2nd teamers off the offense for next year.
Notice that I didn't specify if that was good news or bad news, you decide.
We lose about 5 on defense 1st team, IIRC.
I still think OL has been our biggest downfall this year, and it just sends ripples through the whole team. Can't protect the passer and can't establish a run game. Therefore offense can't sustain drives, and defense ends up being on the field too soon and gets tired and can't get off the field.
That said, I hope by some miracle that Clenin and Wagner turn out as players, that Banks is good enough to start and that we grab another decent JUCO OL to go with him. Plus another HS OL.

Going to have to establish an offensive identity and the O linemen that we have get physical.
Enos wanted more mobile OL which is fine and all if you are going to be a spread team but can’t get thinner, quicker linemen and expect them to overpower or dominate SEC fronts. Our short yardage inefficiency is so glaring.

One of best OL of the 90s NFL was also nearly the smallest, fastest in the league.
Small OL is fine, as long as they are actually good.

We need some guys who are mean AND nasty in both sides of the lime of scrimmage and we really need at least one guy on each side of the ball that loves contact. When is the last time we had a safety or linebacker that wanted to take your head off everytime you came across the middle. Speight is probably the answer and we really only got 1 good year out of him

I see where hunters younger brother is visiting Stanford. Is there any chance we don't land little henry?
Posted on 11/16/17 at 9:52 am to Hawgnsincebirth55
Yes always a chance.
Posted on 11/16/17 at 11:37 am to RazorHawg
why would CBB still be trying to land quick fixes from Juccos... if he were gone at the seasons end...
Posted on 11/16/17 at 11:49 am to Razorback Reverend
Because JUCOs are all they can get with coaching uncertainty.
Posted on 11/17/17 at 6:50 am to RazorHawg
Because we desperately need immediate help in those positions. Even though JUCO's are a gamble as far as being to help right away, they usually have a better chance than true freshmen.
You hate to take more than a couple in a class, but IIRC, it seemed to work okay for Snyder at K State.
