Bolin skews to the negative big time. He's a part of a small group of our media that almost seem to believe it's cool to bash the team their assigned to follow. Almost like they go out of their way to be negative.

I believe he's also a Wisconsin grad so there's that too.

Wise as a first rounder is a stretch.

At some point the regular arse media will be honest about the talent on the team and temper expectations.

Agim's the only guy w/ 1st round ability on the DL. Remember how much we loved Jake Bequette, Chris Smith, Trey Flowers etc. All 3rd rounders.

It's been a LOOOOOONG time since we've seen legit 1st rounders on the Arkansas DL. It used to be fairly common actually.

Darius Philon who we look back to as an exceptional talent was a 6th rounder. Collins 3rd round. JWill 5th round. Denver Kirkland undrafted.


I don't think people understand how difficult it is to be a first round pick just athletically speaking much less when you factor in the intangibles.

I hope Deatrich goes that high. It just won't be my expectation for him as that is a lot of undue pressure.

It's a hell of a lot better now on the defensive line than it was when Holtz was here and our swc dominating dlinemen were being drafted as line backers, our line backers as safeties.

Decades of that kind of undersized defense and Hatfield quitting on recruiting is what put us behind the 8ball when we moved to the sec. It isn't like we didn't know it was a problem with the size as going all the way back to Broyles we were dominated by the majority of sec teams in the bigger bowl games.

Don't kid yourself, if you have top 4 round potential across your line, your going to have a salty group that will challenge most olines they face. On the flip side the same oline with late round to udfas held off plenty of dlines filled with early round draft picks.

He didn't say anything about wanting the opposite.

He's right, those guys who are negative all the time are just keeping it real. It's his job to help fans by tempering expectations. just keep it real, be a negative asshat, and slam our coach every chance you get.

His 5 game stretch to end the season was definitely impressive. 19 tackles, 7 sacks, 4 QB hurries, 2 forced fumbles and 2 pass breaks up over that times. If he really was injured the first half of the season, like Seagrest claims, then he might have a chance if he plays that way all season.
