Would you rather Coach Saban leave sooner rather than later if Later means no Dabo?

My sense is Dabo would probably take the job while Bama is still on top and loaded with Talent.
My concern is Kirby. Kirby ain't gonna let Saban relax during his coaching golden years. He's going to push and push on the recruiting trail. He's going to field teams of equal or better talent. If Saban gets a bit tired, things could go down hill quickly.
Meanwhile, Dabo is getting more and more entrenched at Clemson, and Bama is looking more and more like a challenge considering Kirby has 20 years to go and appears to be a Saban clone.
I guess bottom line is, once it becomes clear that Georgia is surpassing Bama in talent, is it better to grab Dabo while Tuscaloosa is still the best job in America?
Or do we owe it to Coach to let him call the shots.
Hey. I know heads will explode. But if Georgia out recruits us again this year, won't the writing be on the wall?

We're not doing this River. The whole premise of this thread is ridiculous and so is the proposed solution to the "problem".
You aren't making it easy on those of us who want to keep everyone on this board and not ban folks with this stuff.

Georgia is out recruiting Dabo.
I'll stick with the GOAT, thanks.

Well it's still a problem though right? The new recruiting trend? And in fairness, Dabo has an inferior product to sell.

What new trend? We're likely to finish with a better class than Georgia this year and have already started off on great class in the next 2 years.
This doesnt even make sense.

Bad thread is bad.
Saban has the right to leave only when he damn well pleases, and if that means that in 2027, a family of midgets dressed in all black are animating his lifeless skeleton, puppet-style, on the sidelines during games, then so be it.

As far as I'm concerned, Saban has earned the right to stay as long as he wants.

Dat-boy's teams play down to their competition a lot more than they should.

I guess my mistake was reading the recruiting threads. They leave me with the impression that our class is collapsing.

Do you pace the floor, wring your hands in worry and post your feelings of anxiety over this non-sensical stuff?
Jesus dude, why don’t you enjoy the dynasty and not act like Aunt Agnes over goofy shite?

Bama under Saban has always and will continue to recruit excellently. His evaluation system is unparalleled in it's efficiency.
But we happen to be in the middle of a time where the state of GA just passed SoCal for the 3rd best recruiting area, after FL and Texas. There's a crazy amount of talent coming out of GA right now, and some folks are panicking. I welcome it. The King of the Mountain desires serious challengers!

A healthy message board is like a healthy family. Every member should feel secure enough to express his concerns, fears etc., as long as they are sincerely held.
I'm not trying to be provacative. I love Saban as much as the next guy.
But this Kirby Smart guy is trying to ruin us. And what's troubling is that he so freaking young and has so many years left.

Dude you’ve got issues.
I suggest counseling.
Alternatively, maybe even a bar fight- get some sense knocked into you.

Ok RCT, I'll throw you a bone. I honestly think Alabama could poach Dabo at any time. Alabama will give him whatever he wants if they believe he is of that value. How much longer Saban is at Alabama is of no consequence. That being said, I don't like talking about Saban not being at Alabama. I need a shower now.....
