My mind doesn't work like that. What is done is done and I'm not interested in changing the past, trading NCs that were won.

I would however easily rather win an NC in basketball than football this year or in the next few years IF I could only choose one.

Baseball is a tougher call. I'd obviously love to see Bama win a baseball NC but I don't know if forced to choose between our first baseball NC and another football NC that I could honestly bring myself to choose the baseball NC. Probably would choose baseball only if I was extremely confident I'd see multiple more football NCs in my lifetime.

On second thought not for baseball.

Definitely for basketball.

not this year. Especially not this year. We owe Clemson an arse kicking

edit to suggest we do this swap after Saban retires so that we can make hay while the sun shines, because it can get cloudy all too damn fast.

ahh, to heck with a swap at all. I have confidence that in due time the basketall program will be good enough, in this real world, to compete for titles. If you're not one of the basketball blue bloods, recruiting the best of the best yearly, then you need a little bit of luck on your side to do it, but Newton and Sanderson were good enough to do that, though it never happened. Oats will have to be pretty damn good to be as capable as those 2, but he may be. I hope that he is.

Why would you give up something that you earned? When basketball and baseball earn it that's when I'll want them to have one.

This is my favorite part of FOOTBAW ONLY guy. Not only does he make sure everyone else knows it, he also CANNOT FATHOM that anyone actually feels differently.

This is obviously an off-season thread and this sort of plays off of summerofgeorge’s thread. For those that are a fan of all UA sports would you give up a national title in football for one in both basketball and one in baseball?

Nope.

Absolutely not. I wouldn’t give up a football NC for any title in any other sport. But that doesn’t mean I don’t get mad when we aren’t competitive in basketball or baseball. Bama should not be in the bottom seven of the SEC in any sport as far as I’m concerned.

So we've won 5 titles in football with Saban.
I would definitely trade 1 for a basketball championship.
All the attention teams get going to the NCAA tournament is big. Its X 100 going to the final 4. Winning it all would bring tears of joy to a lot of fans who never thought they ever see the day.

Tbh no. Every one of those championships mean a lot and are responsible for some incredible memories. I originally thought yes would be my answer to this question but I can’t think of one football title that I’d pick to give up.

Let’s just win a title in basketball or baseball in the near future.

Seems easy to say yes, but deciding which one to give up is a little harder
