With the amount of injuries that we sustained, the Dynasty talk, Coach's being constantly poached and no real alpha dog standing out.
Don't know if i have seen a better season for him coaching and keeping it all together.

Disagree. I think this is the first year I ever noticed him misusing talent across multiple positions.
Yet he still won the nc. Impressive.

Which miserable bastard’s alter are you?

Haven’t you been wrong enough lately?

Do not agree. He was too conservative and played seniority over talent and it almost cost us a championship. We had two guys on the OL that at minimum should have played significant snaps. Bo was rewarded with lots of touches despite being our worst back this year. I won't even touch the quarterback situation and Moses should have saw the field much more in the early games. I am not unhappy with coach and I only said this because you asked. I think he learned a lot from this season and we are damn lucky to have the best college football coach of all time. What a run.

Do you know for a fact that the freshmen were ready to play a lot the whole season? Some people act like Harris and Hurts and the other starters were sucking wind all year. We were #1 for the majority of the season. Harris averaged around 7 yards a carry. When Saban called on the freshmen, they were ready. Give them all the credit. But to act like Saban mismanaged the roster is incorrect to me

Ya for me it probably was - maybe edged out by 2009 or 2015 - largely due to so many injuries to navigate after losing so much to the draft at the end of last season.

It's a really interesting question for me. I think you have to admire the grit of the team to battle with injuries the way they have. That is far and way a bigger success than any negative I can think of. I think the Damien Harris situation is overblown, but I'm curious as to why he didn't get more carries. I suspect there is information we don't know. Najee also looked his best last night so I am not sad he didn't get more throughout the season. We have been pretty liberal about rotating at the WR position so no complaint there. Thompson looked better than Hootie, but I suspect there is something in practice that kept Hootie in. You are only as good as your biggest weakness, and I suspect Thompson had a lower low.
The complaint of the season is going to be Jalen vs Tua. I think there is great value in showing you won't give up on a guy after a bad game. It would make me trust my coach more and I'm sure the assistant coaches like it as well. It should help in recruiting as well. However, the writing on the wall has been there on Jalen since game 1 of this year. He has not improved nearly enough, and Tua should have been the starter in September when our schedule is easier. You are going to have growing pains as a QB getting your first snaps. We saw that last night with a few plays. However, what Saban put Tua into last night was insane. Down by 13 against a great defense in a title game with a half to play? First meaningful stats of your college career? I admire the courage to do it. I just hate it took so long.

It was a fantastic coaching job. I actually think 2008 might have been his best because all the best talent on that team was incredibly young.

Absolutely. Considering our injuries this year, we had no business doing what we did. Completely amazing.

I respect your opinion. However, I disagree.
My biggest case in point would be the rb position with bo.

No we should have won the SEC. Bama would have if Tua was starting and not to mention all the freshman that won us the game. I thought it was one of his worst years.

It can't be overstated.

You’re getting a lot of downvotes, but you’re not wrong.

Yep, next year he better go #1 wire to wire or there will be a coaching change.
I don't think some people realize how good we have it. We've been in the national championship game three years in a row, with a extra game to win against a top 4 opponent before the game. This run will never be done again.

We all learned a valuable lesson. Three touchdowns and one interception beats no touchdowns and no interceptions any day of the week.

Nobody is dogging Saban out dude. We are just responding to a question. Get your panties out of a wad and don't be the guy that tells fans that all we can and should do is kiss his arse. We know how good we have it but we know Saban isn't perfect and yes he made bad decisions this year.

Tell me where I have been wrong? Like specifically

I will say that it was an outstanding coaching job considering the guys we lost on defense but more than that is that his staff has been gutted over the last couple of years. To me, the fact that he has overcome the ridiculous staff turnover was remarkable. Even the recruiting class he is putting together should be much worse when our top recruiters left for better jobs.

Good point about recruiting.
