Najee

This one is odd. Najee had a solid freshman year with big plays in NCG.

I've mentioned this stat multiple times but his 10+ yard carry rate (which moves the sticks) has always been at top of the conference. He just doesn't hit the homerun.

There is some deep rooted passive hate towards BRob going back to last year too. He's been productive when asked, but his mistakes are magnified because he has fewer opportunities.

He's not the starter so anytime he runs the ball a lot of people think "if that had been Najee we'd have picked up 7 there instead of 4." Stats don't really support that mindset, but people just default to assuming that anything the backup does well the starter would have done even better. I don't think BRob is as good of a player as Najee, but he's certainly better than people give him credit for. As we shift more towards a vertical pass oriented offense it's easier for the 2nd, 3rd, and even 4th WR to shine but harder for the backup RBs.

Perhaps it was just early in the season. His coming out party was definitely the title game.
