will Oats get us to the level of AU and TN in basketball? They are better known for their basketball...just wondering.

No. We will always be a football school first. Even after Saban leaves we will still be a football school.
TN and Auburn are both traditionally football schools first. They still are, Tennessee has just fallen way off in football. The only basketball school in the SEC is Kentucky, but there could probably be an argument made for others as well.

I don't think he is comparing it to football. I think he just means will we garner respect as a basketball team in same way that UT and AU have achieved recently.

(a) We will never be known as a basketball school. We will always be known as a football school. See the period of the mid-2000s when football was a trainwreck and basketball was a perennial Top 25 program and we were still a football school for proof

I think it's funny how basketball's format makes people think programs are doing better than their football counterparts.
Auburn's season that ended with a Peach Bowl loss to UCF is better than any they've had in basketball under Bruce.

The internet allows people who are seperated by great distances to communicate, and the medium is puedo-anonymous. What about this precludes me from speaking to you strongly?
