Will not being in the playoff help us?

I'm not sure how the schedule works when planning for the playoffs but since this is the first time in 5 years that Bama isn't preparing for a playoff how will this affect our attention to internal factors? Recruiting, coaching changes, personal changes/issues, etc. By no means is the season over but you have to think with only the bowl game remaining it has to allow more time for these things. In the past you might be hesitant to make a change when you're trying to play for the title where you might be willing to roll the dice on a bowl game. Is this the wrong line of thinking?

It can actually help. Saban needs time to sort some things out and recruit. However we cannot keep throwing garbage on the field and expect to pull in top classes. I am afraid if we don’t get going in the right direction we will be fighting for mid pack in the conference.

Are you on fricking dope? It's STILL the most loaded team in the conference. My fat arse could coach them to middle of the pack.

After we get butt blasted in the bowl game like we normally do in this situation, maybe changes will be made. But I hope he does it before the bowl game. Need to, for one, get rid of Golding and completely start over.

I would argue LSU has more talent than we do now. Post season awards proves it. They have multiple players likely getting hardware.

This year....they have a ton of seniors leaving and no more Burrow

Then next year it’s UGA or UF or Ohio St or Clemson. We are no longer head and shoulders above everyone else in talent. And our coaches aren’t making up the difference. We’ve got to get back to vintage Saban football or we’re going to be just another SEC team.

I can tell you, with confidence, that being in the playoffs would NOT help us.
Any team with this much lack of discipline from players to coaches would not have deserved a playoff invitation.
And had they gotten one, due to whatever reason, they would have felt entitled, no serious changes for next year and the lack of discipline would continue next year

You don’t think they are replacing them with equal or better talent?

It won't give him more time. He will still have a bowl game to prepare for that's around the time of the semifinal.
Watching the semifinals on TV is in no way, shape, or form a recruiting edge over the four teams playing. The suggestion that it helps us is a comical attempt to spin our current situation in the best light.

LSU ain’t going anywhere. O is whipping arse on the recruiting trail. They are in the drivers seat for now.
