Petty imo, if he hits two fewer threes we most likely lose. Not only three point shooting either, he had a key rebound, some good drives, good assists. Loved to see him break through his slump in such a big way.

Avery Johnson Jr. gets an honorable mention from me too. He hit a couple of really big shots in the first half when Sexton was out with foul trouble.

I can't get over how Smith has been playing. Gotta be deer antler spray

The Nappy Nation won us that game tonight. Petty, Sexton, and Herb were all huge tonight.

And props to Galin Smith for having the best game of his career so far.

2 baskets towards the end were the difference: Petty's 3 with 2 seconds on the shot clock, followed by Sexton's turnaround jumper from 12 feet.
Those iced it, but when you get to it, every basket from everyone was important.

Honestly I thought everyone played a great game. A total team win, and different guys stepped up at different times to make critical plays. Unfair to single one guy out.

I'll just say this. Key didn't have a horrible game, IMO. He played really well on defense and had a couple of big rebounds. Took a big charge late in the game as well.

Key played 17 minutes and had ZERO points, 1 rebound, 1 assist, 1 turnover and 4 personal fouls...not to mention the # of times his man beat him off the dribble to the basket. These aren't my #s...they're facts.

I think we need Key coming off the bench against Villnova. Start the true freshmen.

That was JR we saw last year. Very quick and great finishing skills. His floater has always been the best part of his game

I don’t think Key should play at all unless someone else gets in foul trouble. He’s not an attack minded player and turns the ball over too much. Jones, Petty, and Sexton turn it over too but at least they bring something else to the table. Key is just a warm body that commits stupid fouls and turns the ball over because he panics under pressure.

I agree. I hate it, but it's a fact. The kid's simply a liability when he's on the floor.
