Secondary did a pretty good job against a very good QB. Hate the Battle got elected, but luckily, someone young stepped up.

Love this team we accomplished everything we wanted this season always love from me !never would intentionally hit someone like this just a instinct and trying not to let him score. Glad we both came out of that situation safe #congratsohiostate #rolltide

Battle tweeted this. Thought it was classy.

It’s amazing how every player on this team is just likable.. such character out of each one. Saban does a hell of a job.. parents need to see this.. I would damn near make my kid go to Bama just because of the man he would become.

After Battle went out, Wright and Hellams were the deep safeties, with Branch continuing to man the Star in Nickel and Jalyn Armour-Davis came in as the 6th DB in Dime.

The only time I noticed Armour-Davis was when we ran him off the field late so we could play a big third down with 10 players.

he was running off late because someone was telling him to get off the field. I dont recall the players number but he was lined up in the middle of the field

Wright

I gave him grief after he missed the tackle on Fields on that zone read he broke off but he played very well after that. Made some key tackles to help end some drives

I agree about Wright making some key tackles. Wright also played much better the second half of the season.

Me too, I was like, "5 is still trying to get off the field!! Wait, who is 5?!"

Gonna be honest, I don't know what OSU was doing in the second half. They scored super quick (3 plays, I think) after we kicked the FG, but then played the rest of the game with no sense of urgency. To me, it seemed like they were playing not to get 70 points scored on them.

I guess that's the new "make their arse quit"

If you keep fighting we will put you in the record books.

It looked to me like their defense was gassed.

I think we were giving them the underneath plays, and by that point they were content running the clock, keeping their defense of the field, and going home.

we controlled the TOP so our D should not have been gassed. I think in the 4th quarter we knew they did not have enough possessions to score 28 points so we gave them underneath.

Wright lost his starting Safety spot somewhere near the end of the season as Helliams became the new starter. So when 9 went out 3 came in. I think we played a lot of nickel and dime last night later on when it was obvious they had to pass. OUr DL came up stout after their first two touchdowns. We got pressure on the QB and i was slighty disappointed in the lack of sacks though

Defense was definitely gassed. we had them on the field for long time. OSU knew they couldn't just hit quick plays knowing defense would be tired. They were gassed at halftime.

I meant that Ohio State's defense was gassed.

sorry with my OCD as a senior adult I dont read and comprehend like I used to.

but with their top 2 DL out due to covid it sure put them short handed. I assume that helped B Rob get his yards late in the game

Which was hilarious looking back. He was the 11th player on the field so no penalty. We still managed to stop the play and get off the field. Same thing later with Barmore making a stop behind the line when we weren’t set. Just seemed to bounce our way.

on the play where #5 was trying to get off the field...why didn't we call a TO???? Saban kills me with that!!! And then, that WR on Bama's sideline went uncovered straight down the field for what could have been an easy OSU TD...we got lucky!! lol
