Will most people hold out for the ATL trip or go to LA to at least see them play once?

I swore off another trip after Utah and Ohio State.
If I get Tide Pride tickets I'll go, but given the low allotment for the 1st round games I doubt it. First Alabama playoff game I will watch from the couch.

New Orleans is close enough that I would hope Alabama fans make a good showing.
I get the idea of holding off to see if we go to the championship and going to that one instead.
But Alabama has enough fans within 2 hours or less driving distance I would hope we fill up our allotment. Besides, New Orleans is one of the most fun bowl spots there is.
I'm guessing most Bama fans have done New Orleans multiple times at this point, I know I have.

Man, 2 downvotes? I can't spend $1K on playoff tickets every year for every game fellas.

IN.!! Wouldn’t miss it since I live in Mississippi.
I’m upper deck.. but we have 8 of us going.. someone put a beer on a ballon and send it to us.

Both games a drive away instead plane so I expect us to showup this year. Our attendance has been dropping at these games these last few years because of we have had so many of them it gets too expensive to keep going.

The ticket and hotel expense is my Christmas present already. RMFT

I can forgive skipping the semi-final, but our showing in Tampa last year was absolutely embarrassing.
Clemson easily had 2/3rd of the stadium and about 85% of the fans on the ground.
No team's fans should ever dominate a neutral site game against Bama like that, no matter where it is.

I went to Utah, LSU, Ohio St, and (had the best seats of my life at) Oklahoma.
Will be sitting this one out.
Hope to see y’all in Atlanta.

In for both Playoff and Natty if we make. We need every person available. Clemson travels well. They outnumbered us in 15 by a ton and it was pretty close last year in Tampa.

I think I'm done going to playoff games as long as they cost $250+.

That train ride should be a blast. Might go just for that.

I did the train ride for Ohio State.
If anyone is going down from Birmingham/Atlanta/Tuscaloosa..........TAKE THE TRAIN. It's as fun an experience as I've had in the last decade of going to Alabama games.

How quick is the train?? I drove to New Orleans from my house for the Utah game in about 5 hours.

It's not quick. But that's kind of the point. You can bring on a cooler, it's comfortable and the schedule is perfect.
You leave Birmingham sometime after lunch I think and get to New Orleans around 7 PM or so. We took a cooler with a group, hung out (everyone on the train were Alabama folks going to the ballgame) and then when we got to New Orleans grabbed an Uber to the hotel and did New Years Eve.
It was a blast.
EDIT : Per Amtrak, the train from Birmingham to New Orleans on New Years Eve leaves at 12:08 PM and arrives in New Orleans at 7:32 PM.

Damn, that Does sound fun. I might go to both games if I can find tickets cheap enough.

It really was. The only downside was the return trip leaving at 6 AM the morning after the Ohio State loss .
However, all you have to do is get there and get onto the train and then you sleep for 6 hours, wake up and are back home at 1 PM.

I'm glad you mentioned that. A group of 6 of us are going down and someone suggested the train. We don't have tickets yet, but the majority are going just to help paint Nawlins crimson. I am planning on shelling out the dough for tickets though.
