I enjoy reading all the melt threads and admit to partaking in these.

This particular season has led to an honestly refreshing winter, during which we can watch football from a different perspective.

It seems like folks in the college sports conversation get caught up in the "dynasty" narrative, but everyone should really try to appreciate Bama's stature at times like now.

Just in the past few days:

- I'm watching the FCS playoffs tonight and the announcers gush about Curt Cignetti at JMU learning so much from Saban

- I'm watching the Lakers play the Miami Heat and they call it an "Alabama vs Clemson situation"

- I visit my home state of Alabama for the holiday season and the sports talk this evening is wall to wall "which former assistant might have a chance against Nick"

- I'm watching FCS quarterfinal Montana vs Weber St and all they talk about is Tua

- All of us fans have the opportunity to hear Gary D. talk about Tua's vision during his family Christmas dinner that he announced will be streamed to YouTube

Okay, the last point about Gary D. and streaming anything is made up. He did not announce any Christmas stream of his family dinner, or their turkey carving on Lake Michigan. Wish them all the best.

I’d rather stick my nuts in a wood chipper, but you enjoy.
