Obviously Tua’s health is the most important thing today. However, looking forward for Alabama, it’ll be a struggle to beat Auburn with Mac. Our offense simply isn’t as explosive. Playoffs are out of the question, but hopefully they can finish strong and give us something to build on going into next season.

It was going to be a struggle with Tua.

You can't underestimate the impact of Tua's injury on the team's psyche.

Good thing is AU’s offense sucks too. Nix is fricking awful. Of course that doesn’t mean we can’t lose to them.

The team, he’ll both teams were devastated with injuries today. The game was over, the team had mentally/emotionally checked out after Tua’s injury. They will be better against Auburn.

Mac will be fine.

We were a illegal shift away from being in the end zone and Brian Robinson dropped an easy screen to end a drive.

We moved the ball pretty well.

We're not the same offense, but I think we can still be a good offense. I don't think we can win against an elite team with this defense combined with the offense, but the season right now is beating Auburn. That's all that matters. I think we can (will be a war, though).

Is Mac Jones our best hope to win out? I haven't seen much of Talia, but maybe (sunshine pumping bigtime here) he can pull a freshman Tua and ball out for us.

Look at the Tennessee game. We were just in game maintenance mode once Tua went out since we were already up by so much. Obviously we are more limited with Mac vs Tua but I think our offense will look much better in a couple weeks vs Auburn.

Defense gave up 0 points afterwards. I presume they comprise 50% of the team.

So you're saying they may learn to tackle in these coming 2 weeks?

I think the multiple injuries on both sides sucked all the energy from both teams today

I'm sorry...I thought the thread title was about us only scoring three points behind Mac Jones. If you want to talk about our shitty tackling, that's fine. There's certainly been more than enough of it to warrant that. But that's what this thread is about. It's about why the offense could only score 3 points. Tackling has nothing to do with that.

I think the air was completely gone from the team by that point, understandably so. Everyone just wanted to go home.

That’s true. Maybe the team’s psyche and morale will be better then than it was in the second half.

All of this. Once Tua got hurt everybody there just wanted to go the frick home.

With Tua, Alabama lights AU up. Without him it is a winnable game but it will be an absolute slugfest.

I also agree that the Iron Bowl is now the season. IDGAF about getting into the playoffs. We all know this isn't a title winning team without Tua. If Bama beats Auburn and gets in, great. If they beat Auburn and get left out, enjoy the nice bowl they get as a consolation prize.

Just do the beat Auburn part.

Let's not forget the defense lost one maybe two starters today. Where does leave them?

It sounded from the updates that Dale might not be serious. Davis looked bad but they're saying sprain.....looked like a bad one though.

Gonna be rough either way.
