Due to how fast the offense scored

If so, then this is even more evidence requiring more depth and rotation. If there is more guys able to contribute then there will be less fatique

Nah.
For me we had shitty ILB. Mack Wilson was terrible and that's suppose to be our leader, signal caller, etc.
We had players play without focus (Deionte was inconsistent second half of season) and we were let down by some DL guys (Buggs after injury, R.Davis all season).
Still, Mack Wilson was horrible.

We were thin and had little depth in some areas

I doubt it...we averaged just a little over 30 minutes a game in time of possession. I'd think for the D to be fatigued, our average TOP would be much less...

Bad LB play and green secondary. We still had the offense to win it all though.

Just saw that Tony Spanos *Def Analyst has been hired by Uconn as DC.... I dont remember seeing him being hired? but, I am not always on top of staff additions; will need to chat with Nick about this.

Probably fatigued by the fact that we have done a poor job of developing a second string over the past couple of years. I hope moving forward we get more of a rotation at those spots.
I don't really understand why the whole starting DL has to come out at the same time. Why not give a reserve two or three snaps with the first group, then give a different reserve snaps the next series, etc.? I don't think we do a very good job of that. Instead we just wait until the game is out of hand and put them all out there at once, and that always goes to shite.

Losing a few LBs did not help either but I don't think fatigue had anything to do with their play.

NO...you had a linebacker that had zero business calling plays....looking at you "iam_mw30" chasing shadows in the open field!

Seems like a coaching problem.

It is hard to make chicken salad out of chicken shite no matter the brand of Mayo you bought

no. they were not that good. Outside of #92 our defensive was just above average and got exposed by a really good offense.

We looked fatigued vs Oklahoma on the 1st drive of the 2nd half. And similarly against Clemson we looked slow to the LOS and all over the field against Clemson. Hell I think herbstreit mentioned how slow we looked. That’s just inexcusable. It’s not a fatigue issue. I don’t know why we looked like such crap down the stretch even for basic plays.

I've always thought there must be a way to get some of the younger guys more playing time so they can contribute depth wise at the end of the year. I'm guessing Saban believes a tired starter is less of a liability than someone who might make a huge bust. He's been doing it a long time and isn't going to change how he does things now, and he's got plenty of hardware to prove he knows a lot more than I do anyway

Think it was a confusion issue and being slow to react because of not being 100% sure of what they're responsibility was?

Yes, they were just as confused in game 15 as they were in game 3. We certainly had plenty of speed and athleticism on the field that night.

I think losing Diggs really hurt us. We had no one who could hold up in straight man coverage.

No just not as good as we had in past.
Schedule was weak until playoffs.
