About what I expected from the crowd. Loved the energy and hustle by the team. Beetle and Shackelford are fun to watch.
I could be misremembering, but the way Shackelford squares his shoulders reminds me a lot of Rod Grizzard.

Listening to the post-game show, the radio crew said that while Tech was definitely not the cream of the ACC crop, they were the top defensive team in the league last year and returned everybody from that team. That’s pretty impressive to put up 93 on them. The most they gave up last year was 81 and even that was an outlier for them. Only 10 times did they give up over 75 out of 32 games last year and only 2 games over 80.

Nate Oats on the Jahvon Quinerly ruling: “I wasn’t surprised, maybe disappointed. There’s an appeals process and I always thought we would have to win it on appeal because his case is so different.”
Oats said he still plans on Quinerly playing this year — perhaps as soon as Friday — at this point in the process.
