Two "fully vaccinated" people died from covid in our local hospital in the past week. Politicians are lying about it being a disease of the "unvaccinated."

I haven't taken it...I definitely don't think 18-22 year olds or kids should be taking it based on FACTS. I may consider the Novavax vaccine personally once it's approved...maybe.

I’m glad all those bootlicking pussies in the 50’s lined up to get their kids the polio vaccine. Thanks those pussies we haven’t had a polio case since the late 70’s.

You probably would have worn two masks then as well.

But you probably should have picked a different vaccine to help your case:

quote:

On April 12, 1955 the government announced the first vaccine to protect kids against polio. Within days, labs had made thousands of lots of the vaccine. Batches made by one company, Cutter Labs, accidentally contained live polio virus and it caused an outbreak.

More than 200,000 children got the polio vaccine, but within days the government had to abandon the program.

"Forty thousand kids got polio. Some had low levels, a couple hundred were left with paralysis, and about 10 died," said Dr. Howard Markel, a pediatrician, distinguished professor, and director of the Center for the History of Medicine at the University of Michigan. The government suspended the vaccination program until it could determine what went wrong.

Polio had been studied for almost 180 years by that point.

I probably would have done whatever the experts suggested. I see the effects of polio at least once a week.

Like the scientists in Sweden?

They didn't lockdown like the rest of us morons and they haven't had a Coronavirus death in over a week.

I know a family of 4 that got one of the “vaccines”. They are all sick as hell with corona. Let’s iron out some of the wrinkles in this “vaccine” before we make it mandatory. Hell guys, I don’t even by a new vehicle that’s within the first two years of the model cycle. I damn sure am not going to put it a rushed vaccine in my body. Wasn’t going to do it with Trump, and I won’t do it with Biden.

Sweden has 2x the population of the other Scandinavian countries, but had >3x the positive cases and >5x the deaths.

They also have a greater percentage of their population vaccinated than Alabama does.

It bothers me that a kid from your lineage is attempting to get a degree from the same University that awarded me mine.

It cheapens the product.

The vaccine isn’t 100% effective in preventing nor is it 100% in keeping you from dying if you do get infected, especially with the delta variant. It’s meant to try and prevent the infection / minimize how bad it is for you if you do get it. It does give you a much better of chance than not being infected / dying than the alternative, however.

How does this effect the general populace? This only effects me. People that take the “vaccine” can also carry it and get sick, same as me, but the only difference is that maybe the “vaccine” takers won’t get as sick.

Edit: this is an honest question. I’m not being an arse. I usually stand with you in the basketball thread

It affects you because if you took the vaccine, your odds of not getting it are much better and not dying are exponentially higher

And even worse compared to Scandinavian neighbor Denmark.

The "Sweden" example mainly just identifies someone that is "cherry picking" data with little regard for a truer, bigger picture (or only reading articles that do so).

On one hand, they have fared fairly well compared to places like the UK per capita.

But, on the other, they fared much worse than all the Scandinavian neighbors with whom they share similar dynamics.

I got a COVID vaccine. I don't really understand why those who have gotten vaccinated take such issue with others not getting vaccinated though.

I don't feel endangered by the unvaccinated, and it is those people's prerogative to get the vaccine if they feel the need to protect themselves. The issue of people who cannot get vaccinated will always be an unavoidable issue.

The University's policy seems fairly reasonable however.

I actually know a few folks who wanted the “vaccine” but their doctors advised against it. Should we ostracize them as well???

You are such a statist Nazi. Is there any personal freedom or liberty you wouldn’t support crushing?

Taking a genetic altering experimental drug (drug. It is NOT a vaccine) should be mandatory? Do you even stop and reflect on the insanity you support?

Never mind the ridiculousness of a seasonal malady that is not anymore deadly than other iterations of the flu. I’m just referring to the shot itself - which has shown to be, at the very least, harmful if not downright deadly to people of college age. But what’s killing people to a totalitarian like you as long as the supremacy of the government is maintained?
