My child is an incoming freshman to UA. This is ridiculous. Shame the unvaccinated kids... Vaccinated kids can still spread covid.
This isn't like the TB or MMR vaccine, which is required for school. This is strong arming and shaming. It's just wrong.

18 months into this sham and institutions still don't know the difference between guidance and law.
Guidelines are not law binding.
frick the flip flopping CDC and their stupid arse guidelines.

Well this is definitely not PRO education/student.

Good. They need to be shamed.

From your link:

The CDC itself has not estimated what percentage of hospitalizations and deaths are in fully vaccinated people, citing limitations in the data.

I fail to even see what exactly in the UA protocol linked there "shames" the unvaccinated.
Seems to merely state that if their fat little girlfriends or roomies test positive that they'll likely have to quarantine.
In which case, the university isn't going to channel a ton of financial/time resources to rearrange classes at the expense of vaccinated students.

Spleen and Bryant are pathetic human beings.

The idea of treating unvaccinated kids different... Strong arm tactics like not giving them homework, forcing only them to wear masks, moving them to other dorms. Vaccinated kids can still have symptoms and still spread it.

So the CDC is now the authority on the matter because you think their lack of analysis supports your position? It's widely accepted that the unvaccinated make up the overwhelming majority of hospitalizations and deaths over the last couple of months. It's perfectly reasonable for UA to "shame" unvaccinated students. If having to wear a mask to class and potentially quarantine in a separate dorm is the worst that happens to them they should count themselves lucky.

If they aren't, then why are we supposed to follow their guidelines?

Yeah, but it lowers the percentage dramatically and we don't have a silver bullet that's the 100% perfect solution to everything.
What we can't do is keep things shutdown forever NOR just let everyone and their brother run around spreading the shite like wildfire.
I don't know a single person that didn't get the vaccine without some trepidation or at least didn't find it pretty unpleasant.
However, a ton of people risk getting it anyway in order to get things back to normal.
If some people are too afraid to do that it's their prerogative but it shouldn't compromise those that did in getting back to some semblance of normal life.

Or intelligent enough to realize vaccinations aren’t the be all end all, but it’s sure as hell better than doing nothing.

I'm not one of those normal anti-vaccine people.
I've probably had more vaccines than 99% of the people who post here. Anthrax, Japanese encephalitis, small pox, typhoid, tuberculosis, etc.
Guess what? When I traveled to areas around the world where those viruses exist, I didn't catch them.
You know one I haven't gotten? Chickenpox. You wanna know why? Because I had chickenpox when I was 6. I don't need it.
I also had the Coronavirus. Why the hell would I take a "vaccine" that wouldn't prevent me from getting it again?
