Do you think it makes his wound itch like crazy?

Probably a little. But from experience having a cast on my leg, you eventually just get so used to the itch that it doesn’t even bother you too much after a while

Is that right? I just know what it is like when you're hands have been cold and blood starts to come back into the muscles, or when new skins grows in where dead skin has pealed off. Prickly and itchy. I can only imagine having electrical stimulus in an area where new muscle and skin is growing.

For us normal peons, a walking boot is one of the most irritating things ever. All your foot/leg does is sweat and itch, and you can't do anything about either.

His is probably air conditioned and has some de-itch device to go along with his daily deer antler injections.

Where are y'all seeing the electrical stimulation therapy? It may be happening, but the boot or wrap that was on his foot on the plane was a cold compression bladder. It's there to reduce swelling after the surgery. It just circulates ice cold water through the bladder.

In the picture of him on the plane there is a device in his lap with small wires coming from it and apparently running into the boot. Someone else also mentioned that he was getting a stimulation to promote healing.

What's funny is that they just used his 1st name. Is Tua going to become one of those celebrities that have to use only one name?

Ah. I see it now, in the 1st pic. I need to be a little more observant.

Meh. Somebody mentioned it in another thread. At first I thought, "Is that an old school walk man?" that's how dense I can be.

Pretty sure that's a bone growth stimulator to speed up bone development where they drilled through to affix the plate on one side and anchor buttons for the bands on the other.

Tua's procedure. A flexible cord is attached to a plate on one side and held in place by a button, or buttons if there's more than one filament, on the other. It is pulled tight to give the joint stability. It's called TightRope Syndesmosis Fixation. There's an article on al.com about it.
