Tua is the best football player in the SEC and maybe America.

I know I am biased and I know we haven't faced a great defense yet but I am convinced. The Missouri quarterback is really good but he isn't on the same level as Tua.Heisman voters will notice he only plays the first half.

The way Saban is playing the QBs is probably beneficial to the team.
But dammit I want to see Tua play 4 quarters
I legitimately think the Heisman race would be completely over if he had most of the playing time all year and stayed healthy.

Heismans aren’t won in September. He will have his chance when it matters.

I think if he looks good next weekend he will really start to get recognition, and it wont be until the end of the year when we play LSU, Miss st, and auburnn and assuming UGA that he could walk away with it.

We don't need to until we go to LSU then I want Saban to keep the peddle to the metal for four quarters and show the world what this offense can really do. I look for Tua to play a bit more this weekend. Lord knows Jalen needs all the reps he can get.

This is... fair. We can argue until we're blue in the face about snaps played or defenses faced, but no QB in the country looks as accurate and efficient as Tua. The number of absolute dimes he throws is incredible. The number of times you see him using his eyes to move defenders is ridiculous, especially for a 20 year old kid.

Saban loves letting up when we're up big, but if he let them, Tua and this offense could drop 100. And I want Saban to do it just once to show the country that we can if we had to. Of course it'd have to be against a bad team, there's no way we could do that to an above average or better defense.

Who the frick else would you even consider for the Heisman? Who is playing at his level right now? Furthermore, he on the right team that gets all the press.

There's plenty of guys in the conversation, and plenty of season left, but if it was handed out right now Tua would win. His play, his stats, his story, his team, everything plays into his favor. And the media can't get enough of him. If he keeps this up it's a lock, but we've seen a lot of September Heismans fizzle out. I don't think Tua will, but a couple of off games while another guy puts up insane numbers the same week could shift the balance. Timing matters for the Heisman too.

That's detrimental to Heisman chances.

But actually, the season is just cranking up.
I was a Tua fan all last year so far be it from me to rain on his parade, but we have a lot of tough games ahead. I, too, wish he'd get more playing time so he'd be more likely to win some cool awards, but I'll take a season long healthy Tua in a heartbeat. I think he'll be All American even with no more playing time per game than he's gotten so far, assuming he keeps playing at this level. He'll face much tougher defenses, though, later in the schedule, but on the flip side, that probably means he'll be on the field longer.

He's getting recognition already. I haven't checked this week but he was odds on favorite to win it, last week.

Dude he has the beauty pageant part of it COMPLETELY locked up.
Playing normal minutes would supplement a stinker or 2 that he might have down the road.
That's really all I'm saying.

He couldn't get much more recognition if he was getting inaugurated.

Will Grier. Higher PCT, more TDs, more yards. Sure, you can argue that Jalen's snaps are hurting Tua, but Grier is definitely performing at a similar level.

That's the thing..
With normal playing time, Tua would be just SHITTING on Grier's numbers.

What you guys say if he got hurt with score 48-7?

We’d say “Shite I guess we shouldn’t have let him finish the first half after all”

48-7 in the 4th quarter?
I'd be livid.
But playing normal minutes in football games, is....normal.
Injuries happen. They happen in the 1st 2nd and 3rd quarters too. Nobody should feel wronged if Tua tears something late in the 2nd quarter. That's just dumb.

Opposing teams (the better teams that is) down the schedule are getting a good look at what #13 does well and perhaps what he doesn't do well thus they will plan to stop what he does well. Just as they did with #2. You have to have the talented players to enforce your scheme. We'll see. Teams that have 4 great defensive lineman that can defeat our OL have the best chance so that is AU and LSU for sure. Miss State after that group and then A&M. What happens if #13 has an off night?
