Are you gonna be Tuas Huddie/river?
But Huddie and RCT were right about Hurts. He's a nice kid, good athlete, but a bad quarterback. At least at this level.

Yep - you were. I hoped and prayed he would improve but it just never happened.

Well personally, and i don't know if that was directed at me, but I'm not hating i'm just discussing what I saw now that we have gotten to see Tua really work. Got to talk about something now that the season is over...
I have said literally nothing bad about Tua whatsoever and got called gay, so who knows.

The last two months were bad enough.

Yeah because we only got to see Tua for one half. We won't get to see him light it up again until September
We got cheated out of an absolute dream season full of exciting, fun, dynamic offense
I'm a die hard fan, and even I've had trouble watching the games this year due to an offense that made me want to do this all season long. It no doubt hurt our recruiting

We got a dream of a season with a NC though - who knows what would have happened if we hadn't played it out like we did.

We just won the national championship on a last second 41 yard pass. We have 2 or 3 more years with all the freshmen.
I'm not sure how there can be anyone upset right now, but to each his own.

I'm thrilled that we won the natty, but it's not quite a dream season when you lose the iron bowl, and lose the SEC. The only reason we're all so happy is because we got to see Tua play for ONE half.
Obv it's being nit-picky, but I'm still a little peeved that we lost the iron bowl, and had to suffer through an anemic offense all year

Not to mention we would've gone undefeated, won the SEC, he would've placed in the top 3 for the Heisman, we would've defeated both teams in the playoffs in blowout fashion, and gotten an entire season's worth of exciting, dynamic offense

You have to understand that we got to see Tua after a year in the system, and a lot of bowl practice. That isn't the same guy who would have taken the field in September. You could see his growth in the mop up duty, he steadily got better all year.
I mean, I want to win the IB too, and maybe he was ready late in the year. But I want a Natty more than anything else, and we got that, so I'm totally good that he picked that exact moment to put Tua in, because it fricking worked!

Tua was ready at least by the Vanderbilt game. Understand you get better with experience. We had a soft schedule early in the year, and he would've been a show stopper by the LSU game. Just look at what Jake Fromm did this year
It is what it is, Saban made a bad personnel decision at QB because he favors seniority, and it's certainly not the first time. Glad we won the NC

I don't fully agree that it is so cut and dry as you make it out to be but it doesn't matter at this point.
Who knows if Tua would have been as effective if all these teams had film on him and gameplanned for him. Just way too many "what ifs" in that kind of hypothetical. In any case, Roll Tide and we will get to see what Tua can do with the keys next year

You laugh, but didn't a less talented Jake Fromm do exactly that with a worse supporting cast?

Wat?
No, he didn't

Saban doesn't value seniority. He values safety and security. Jalen was the one who was a known quantity. We went 12-1 with him. All credit to the rest of the team, but Saban knew Jalen was able to win almost every game on the schedule. Obviously the last game was different, and Saban made the right call, but I won't judge his choices for getting the team to 12-1. It's not as easy of a decision to bench Hurts as many here make it out to be.
