If Tua is hanging out in San Diego when this is all over, something has gone terribly, terribly wrong.

Diggs is has the measurables that Pete Carroll covets at corner. Don’t be surprised if he’s taken by Seattle.

Word on local radio around here is Carolina wants Diggs.

Also saw a NBC guy predict NE traded up to get Tua. I doubt it but outside of the draft I really pay no attention to the NFL

Pats have a ton of draft capital and nearly every organization in the league has some sort of personal connection with Belichik. I really wouldn't be shocked. They have holes on their roster that need to be filled, but Bill knows that he isn't going to win now with Stidham even if he surrounds him with talented players. You have to start with the QB or you just aren't going to win a lot in todays NFL.

The Pats offense is really suited well for Tua. Lots of timing and rhythm passes with the occasional play action bomb. How he would do in December up there though nobody knows. We're talking about a guy that's lived his entire life in Hawaii and Alabama

Pro Football Focus' Mike Renner projects the Chargers to select Alabama QB Tua Tagovailoa in Thursday's first round. With LSU's Joe Burrow due to be the first overall pick, Miami (5th) and the L.A. Chargers (6th) are the two teams to look at when it comes to addressing a need at quarterback. And in the case of the Chargers, not only does Renner project them to select Tagovailoa but he has them trading up in order to do so. Tagovailoa, who was recently cleared by doctors after undergoing hip surgery in November, is projected to go third overall, with L.A. making a deal with the Lions. "The Chargers were the laughing stock of the NFL for not being able to sell out their soccer stadium in L.A," Renner wrote. "They need something to energize their fan base quickly, and a personality like Tua at the QB position does that overnight."

Pro Football Network's Tony Pauline said on Thursday that Alabama T Jedrick Wills "continues to pop up as the right offensive tackle" for the Jets. The Jets hold the 11th overall pick in Thursday's first round, and the team has a need to address at the tackle position. In addition to Wills, the team has reportedly touched base with the likes of Iowa's Tristan Wirfs and Louisville's Mekhi Becton, so it's likely that they go tackle route. And if that's the case, Wills may be the one who comes off the board when the Jets are on the clock. "As I was told yesterday, the Jets want an offensive tackle in the first round 'if the right offensive tackle is available,'” Pauline wrote. "Jedrick Wills Jr. continues to pop up as the right offensive tackle for the franchise."

I’ve been saying for a long time that I believe the Chargers will make moves to get Tua.

If I’m Tua, I would rather go to the Chargers. They have some pieces in place there and he can also learn for a year behind Tyrod Taylor if need be.

Just listening to shows I think I Diggs/Lewis are going to drop to 3rd round maybe.

I think this is probably not talked about enough. Getting drafted as a guy who can come in, learn the system, and in Tua's case rehab if need be, is huge compared to being thrust into the pressure of a starting role, especially with a terrible supporting cast.

The crazy part about the Tua debate is annalist keep saying he's to much of a risk to take a 5.
But chargers picking him at 6 is not the same risk.
I understand the money risk, but panthers at 7 or jags at 9 are taking the same franchise 1st round Qb risk.
If your the dolphins you better have back up options because the lions or giants are going to trade back to 6 or 7 and still get a o-linemen or defensive impact player. If you cant live with herbert at 5 because a team jumps you for tua. Then you should double trade moving 5 back and the other two picks up. Then you get three starters at worst case and herbert or Jordan love between 15- 20.
