We are one over the limit on scholarship players for next year right now. 9 returnees and 5 signed freshmen.
That means somebody will transfer.
Obviously Brandon Austin is the most likely candidate because Schaffer got more minutes than him even when he was healthy.
My gut tells me Nick King is a candidate too. I assume he will graduate soon since this is his 4th year of college. Took a while for him to work into the rotation but I think that he was getting close to being a big contributor for us before he got sick.
Also, some will say that Avery Jr could go off scholarship but I don't think they have ever really considered that.
I would be shocked if anyone else even thought about a transfer.

Petty should be able to
Petty has a good shot of being a project player. His upside is legit, but he is pretty dang thin to be playing his style. His success seems to be more from athleticism than refined/advanced skillset

Petty and Herb Jones are both really thin. I'm not sure how they will hold up.

I'd predict just BA leaving, but I didn't see Coleman leaving last year. I still wouldn't be surprised if AJ Jr was moved off of scholarship if King doesn't move, so we can add a grad transfer.

Ya'll won't want to hear this, but be prepared to see a boatload of this guy next year. He's going to avg 25+mpg at a minimum

Lol yeah he'll probably start at least the first half of the season just to have a decent player on the court who has experience.

Norris, can shoot at times and he plays hard. He just isn't as athletic as SEC players. I hate when he tries to drive to the basket.

I don't think he ends up over 25 mpg next year. He's averaging just over 27 this year with essentially no backup. Avery has show he's not afraid to bench older players for young guys. Hale got benched for Braxton, Taylor got benched for Hall, and Ingram started last year over Coleman.
I think he'll be around 20 which is fine for his skill set.

We're gonna win this Damon tournament. The magic will be real.

Cecil said there's a 50/1 chance to win it. So there's a chance. One game at a time. LETS GET OUR HOPES UP JUST TO BE LET DOWN ONE MORE TIME! #BUCKLEUP

Some friends and I were planning on going and staying with some friends at Belmont, but tests and shite came up. The thing's in St. Louis next year, so I won't go to that one. Hopefully, we are good in 2019 playing in the night session, and I can make it up that year before getting out of college.
Student tickets are only $10 per session

No problem with it at all. He's a solid defender and rebounder and will hopefully be able to just spot up and shoot penetration kick threes.

I expect him to play a lot, and I'm fine with it. Norris is a solid, all-around player. He's a good defender, rebounder, and shooter. He's never made a layup, but if Avery can convince him to just pull up and take 12 footers, he'll be ok.

OT, but if Mizzou gets Crean, I think that's a solid hire for them to get back into the swing of things. Playing against tough competition in the B10 isn't easy, and the standards at IU is much higher than at Mizzou.
As for Norris getting more time, I'm fine with that as he's a good all-around player, but his shooting needs to improve. Being a spot up shooter that doesn't get many contested shots should do better than 33% from beyond the arc. His FG% did improve, so maybe he should start trying to shoot more jump shots from inside the paint if it's open.
