I hate how things ended but I'm already super excited for next season. I was going to Bama during Avery's first season and you can't tell me that the enthusiasm and support for our Basketball program isn't there. We are all in on Oats and our boys in Crimson.

What’s y’all’s expectations for the defense next year? I expect a step back but I still think we will be top 20-30ish on that side

The fact that we gave it away is what is hurting me the most. Similar to 2011 GOTC&2013 Iron Bowl.
I would have rather them put us away at the beginning of the 2nd half and us not have a chance

It was a really painful loss to finish with bc we could've and should've won it, but nothing good will come from me moping about it. Instead, I'll be thankful for and proud of the season our boys had. SEC Champs and reaching the Sweet 16 is way better than I expected back in Nov-Dec. I think it is realistic to think we could fall anywhere in the top 25 tbh. Not saying we definitely will, but it isn't a crazy idea at all imo. Hell, I never thought we'd be top 5 this year.

Yeah, I am definitely proud of the guys. The season was in no way a disappointment. I am still a little bummed about the loss, but that's on me for expecting the win last night. I can't explain it and i'm not even really sure where all the confidence came from, but I was just really not expecting to lose that game.

Some FOG caller on the FOG Ryan Fowler show said he can't think of one game in football that we beat ourselves like the way we beat ourselves last night.

Expectations came from you not anticipating us shooting 50% from the FT line in the Tourney and choking the game away. By all rights we should have won the game but a perfect storm for our opponents did us in.

I'm not interested in watching the games either. But, honestly, I've always been more of a team guy than a sport guy. When my team is out, I tend to lose interest, although I always loved playing basketball. I'm more interested in Bama basketball recruiting and team news than the tournament right now.
I'll always remember Reese, Petty, and Herb for sticking around and catapulting us forward as a program. But, I'm also super stoked about the potential of next years team. If just a couple of guys can grow up fast, we may not miss a beat.
