Nick Saban has been the head coach of Alabama longer than many of them have been alive. There are Tennessee fans now in high school who weren't alive the last time the Vols defeated the Tide.

Yes, thank you for making everyone feel old.

My xbox account can almost drive a car.

My SECr account is a teenager.

Tom Brady's football career can drink a beer legally.

Assuming Saban finishes up his current contract and retires in January of 2029 most of the student body at Alabama will have been born after he was hired. By the time he retires he will have defined college football for an entire generation, whether they love him or hate him.

I was in school when he was hired and I still vividly remember everyone being so excited thinking we might have a shot at winning the SEC and maybe even a national championship at some point with a little luck.

I remember everyone sharing these same thoughts. When I knew everything was changing was when we came from behind to beat Arkansas in 2007. I remember my dad turning to me in BDS and saying that things were about to change.

I got selected as a beta tester for the second wave of xbox live. My account has just hit 18. I can't claim it on my taxes anymore.

I have to remind my son that a two loss season is not the end of Alabama football. He was born in 2007 and has no understanding of what kind of hell we lived through between 1997 and 2006.

Nick Saban won't be at Alabama long. 3 years tops. Circa 2007.

I loved watching him on the field. He would get so hyped in the stadium between plays!
