Saban is always hardest on the guys he knows have the most potential. Ask McCarron. Love Jalen, but we found our QB.

The problem with Hurts quote: Lane is a QB whisperer because he just tells them what to do exactly, he takes out the guess work. he sets up opportunities to exploit later with very questionable lead play calls earlier. Then he's not a good QB coach. If he was a good QB coach, then he would be teaching the QB's how to do that for themselves.

Not a fan of Kiffin, but that's a little harsh. Kiffin had a 5th yr Sr -0 experience, a 5th yr Sr transfer with little experience and a true freshman. I don't know what constitutes a QB whisperer, but LK did a damn good job at Bama.

Man what are you talking about? You were at the spearhead of the "controversy" I saw you make a thread a day constantly talking about the QB situation when we all just wanted you to shut up and go away. It's no secret you have a stalker level obsession with Tua, yes the kid is great but damn man you never gave it a rest, what you never understood then or now is that we are tired of hearing about it, so when you come in here and make it as though we are now the "issue" is laughable. Tua finally comes in and does amazing and you think that makes you the voice of reason?....no man, we all know what you're about and we were there when you went on like a broken record, you made most of this board hate seeing your name next to a thread. Glad your favorite QB came in, I think Tua is insane, his ceiling is really high and I think you did a nice job at noticing his potential.

Yep anybody with eyes saw the kid has a high ceiling...But the issue was we don't see everyday what Saban sees and u have to earn your way on the field. TT did great and we all want him to reach his full potential.

No man . You are the problem. You are the imbecile who never got it and still doesn’t. You conveniently leave out the abusive language and crying to the mods and the constant tiresome pro Jalen at all costs threads.

And now you want a qb competition? It’s time for you to shut up.

Saban was totally loyal to Hurts and gave him every opportunity. He yelled at Tua more in one half than he did at Jalen for two years. I’m convinced that a lot of this was personal. Saban wanted Hurts to be the guy. Ultimately, he just wanted to win more.

That part about Saban favoring Hurts over Tua doesn't really have merit IMO. Saban almost always is hardest on the best players and always flips out about mental mistakes and not quite as much performance issues like missing throws. He also is a good enough coach to know which players respond better to what type of coaching.

I was on the Hurts train but Tua opened not only my eyes but more importantly, the playbook.

Daboll became a completely different play caller with Tua in the game.

Love Jalen. Hope he moves to an H back type position but it’s a completely different offense with Tua.

Why do you always mention abusive language? How old are you? Are you a man? You've been a whining little victim for months now, everytime someone calls you out you pretend to be the victim and for a time it worked but lately we have had enough, you aren't fooling anyone River.

So is River the top or bottom in this relationship?

I think last year, teams didn’t know how to defend Hurts and assumed he could also pass. We saw a lot of long scrambles from him up to the LSU game. We also had some NOTs that blew the game wide open, demoralized other teams, and sugar coated some scores. I feel like Hurts peaked right around the LSU game last year.

My concern with Hurts was that I never saw some great raw passing ability that needed to be polished. It appeared to me that he just didn’t have talent in that area and it would take a lot more than one offseason for that to develop.

I also think it was beat into him in 2015 that to not make a mistake. Unfortuntely, that got programmed into him a little too much.

I don’t think it’s manly to f people on a message board. I never did it. I never called names or spoke rudely to people unless and until they did it to me.

Your just a control freak. And a snowflake. And you don’t know crap about football.

That's Saban's MO. I hope kinder, gentler Saban doesn't do that to Tua.

Control freak and a snowflake...describing yourself? You're the one that was constantly trying to control the narrative of the QB "controversy" by posting thread after thread after thread, you're also a snowflake because anytime anyone says something real to you it turns into a victim show of poor me, poor River.
