This will be the second consecutive year we’ve missed the Super Six I believe.

You are correct. Shows how little I pay attention.
Our sub 197 streak goes back to last year.

ST. LOUIS — For only the third time in the 26 years the current format has existed, the Alabama gymnastics team will not take part in the Super Six team final at the NCAA Championships.
The Crimson Tide compiled a score of 196.625 points in Friday’s first semifinal session at Chaifetz Arena to finish fifth among the session’s six teams. Only the top three advanced to Saturday’s final.
Our sub 197 streak goes back to last year.

Patty Gasso went 13 years between her first and second WCWS titles and then she won 3 out of 5. That also included a 6 year streak where they did not make the WCWS. Murph has missed the WCWS twice in back to back seasons, 2001 & 2002 and 2017 & 2018. Sure we could run him off, but the administration forced Stallings into retirement early and how did that work out for us
Good. Maybe we can hire her.

quote:. I wonder how the hitters of the old days would handle the Sec pitching of today. We are a much stronger league now more than ever. 3 game series facing the aces of each team usually 2 out of 3 of the games. I can think of a few from the past that could probably do well but team wise I don't know. The ranking last week had 7 sec teams in the top 14 .
Yea I would love to have hitters like the old days

League has always been strong for the most part . Just saying we used to have 4-5 girls who were threats to hit HRs and lately that has not been the case

Two years in a row all 13 SEC teams have made the NCAA tournament. Pac 12 had 8 teams in 2017 and 7 in 2018. They were the next in number of teams in (They have 9 softball schools).

Also our team BA is around 300 and we have 6-7 batting over 300. Compared to last year this is almost double the players with a BA over 300. I do expect this to go down some going into SEC play. Last year I think our Senior SS last year was under 250. And she was a slightly above average SS. I had a hard time figuring out why there were not other options. I also don't recall out starting 2b have a stellar BA but she was good at defensive plays.

I watched the first two games of that series and Tennessee drilled them.Florida up in game 3. I really think the sec is going to be like that this year. I'm not sure there is one dominant team.

Give up 2 in the first, immediately score 3 in the first 3 batters in the bottom

Bama's thrid baseman is terrible back to back errors cost Bama two runs.

3 errors in the same inning. I assume none of the runs are earned.
