Goodman started, was pulled in 3rd,Cornell was pulled in 5th and Fouts finished. All three pitchers hit batters with a total of 4 for the game. We had 9 hits to 8 for them.
SIUE lost o Arkansas 2-1 this season.
Niagra (tonight's game ) has only played 9 games this season going 0-9.

we got to play a lot of normal back ups tonight. Bailey was our Catcher. And 2 young pitchers.

30-0 is impressive but the schedule will get much tougher against SEC teams. If Fouts, Cornell and Goodman continue to pitch well Bama will make it to the WCWS. Preston and Gettins are mentally fragile so are subject to get hit hard when things get tough. BTW I don't know who authors the game summaries but they are very well written. Hats off to the author because easy reading is hard, vile writing.

I agree, 30 and 0 is great but in sec play we will get some losses. Also agree on pitching. We have 5 but in a 3 game series with just one team it will be approached differently. This weekend we are throwing all 5. In sec we should see Fouts,Cornell and maybe another. Sec will be tough, losses will happen but we need to finish high enough to host a super regional, then WCWS.

Everyone in the SEC will take some losses. That is not a big deal. 30 and 0 is a big deal though.

Fouts will pitch games 1 and 3 in SEC play. Cornell game 2 and probably some mid week games.
