Got screwed with the 8 seed and now in the final 4 facing OK but have to beat them twice.

Great hit by a seldom used senior for the win. Fouts was great.

Hope offense is better.

Just gave up 10 runs to Murray St yesterday, pitching might not be there this year.

not sure who our number 1 pitcher is and she could be our 3rd pitcher. Last year we would have beat this team 3-2 and gave up 8 BB and 2 HBP. We will know who our number 1 pitcher is the closer we get to SEC play. I am excited.

Fouts at 6 feet 1 may be our number one pitcher. She is a freshman out of KT. I think we have at least one JC pitcher.

I was able to watch the last game on Troys broadcast. No announcers but video was ok. She looked pretty fast, with maybe a good rise. I dont think she had a walk in either game she pitched.
The Murray State game however had 3 pitchers give up 10 runs on only 8 hits due to walks and hit by pitch.

Beat Troy 8-0 today. That's not a bad weekend at all. Let's hope Murphy has adjusted this season

Be nice to see balls flying out of the park again like the good old days

Hemphill can hit the long ball.

Yes she can. We used to have a lineup of Hemphills though or at least 4-6 threats and not the heavy dose of slappers we have been seeing

Yep. Usually leadoff might be a slapper but we have had 4-5 lately it seems

most slappers can be called out of the box when they make contact with the ball. If the refs would call this more often the slappers would do it right or they would go back to a traditional swing.

Yep, we need a thread. The ladies are 5-0 now and the freshman pitcher from KY seems very good; hope she holds up against stiffer competition. I tried to listen to some of the games on the radio and it was awful. Couldn't understand half of the words the announcers were saying and the signal kept fading in and out.

I agree, Last year they cracked down on the (out of the box rule) and Brown really struggled. I actually like the slappers in the first two spots then having hitters behind them . It was fun to watch with Kayla Braud and Jennifer Fenton and their speed with good hitters after. That's what didnt happen last year, if we did get on they got left on base.

The short game with speed puts pressure on defense to move, think, and execute.

That Fouts girl is supposed to be really good. Throws hard and has control. Loved Alexis but my goodness she would walk 3 every inning it seemed
