FB should not be content just to make a bowl game
Men Basketball should not be content to be a bubble team and make the dance as an 11 seed
Gymnastics should not be content just to advance to the NCAA with a score under 197
Softball should not be content just making a regional.
These teams have been there and done that and we as fans deserve more from the coaches. So far FB is the only one lately living up to expectations.

The same should be said of all of our sports, regardless of their past success/failure.

As long as Saban is doing Saban things, the other programs will get a pass as football is making so much money it covers for the rest.
Now if our football team falls off a bit then the others will be pressured to succeed more. If we lost football we don’t really have much left anymore.

Our other programs have declined since Saban took over. Basketball wasn’t really that great, but softball and gymnastics, two staples at Alabama have declined recently into just decent programs.

We've won 6 national titles in 4 non fb sports since Saban arrived, 3 of which we'd never won a title in before.
We just finished higher than we've ever finished in the Sears Cup rankings in 2017-18.

George is right. We’ve made great progress in sports where we’ve not been traditionally strong.
But the stalwarts except for football have fallen off some. Time to shake things up, Byrne.

Track, golf, and tennis have all gotten a lot better though.

My expectations for Bama basketball in any given students 4 year career is 3 years solidly in the tournament and 1 rebuilding year. And 1 of those 3years we need to make it to 2nd weekend

Add women’s basketball to that list. We used to be a power under Rick Moody. Currently, we’re in 12th place in the SEC. Only Florida and Vandy are worse. No excuse for this bullshite.

If only Saban had time & want to coach another sport. Men's basketball team has talent, just lack fundamentals & motivation. Saban is master motivater. Stat thats amazing to me is he's beaten every non ranked team on schedule since 08. 11 freaking years! If a coach can't consistently motivate young men no matter the opponent's record he's in the wrong profession. Sat afternoon in Coleman was an embarrassment. Players didn't seem to give a damn & don't seem to be held accountable for lazy or sloppy play.

Not gonna lie, I couldn't care less about the other sports at Alabama. I was a student there from 2008-2012. I never missed a home game of Alabama football during my time there. I went to two softball games, two basketball games, one gymnastics meet, and no baseball games or swim meets. I had friends on the softball and swim team all four years, too.
You all know my stance on this matter and I wish I were trolling but I mean what I say when I tell you the other sports do not matter to me as football is the only sport in the world that exists in my mind.

Softball has been very consistent. Talent level and competition in the SEC has really increased. I'm quite content to be an annual top 10 softball program and regularly make the CWS. Not going to fret over losing in extra innings in the CWS. We've had some big softball wins over the past 3 years.
You can't hold the 2012 championship against Murph. Without that would you not be happy with his consistent results?
As far as Basketball goes, we pay Avery too much money to be less than mediocre. Everyone talks about "the tourney". We haven't been a top 25 team in the past 4 years and that's unacceptable. Next coach please.
