I know Jalen getting alot of heat, some deserved, some maybe not so much. I dont care who the QB is when the line is getting blown up all year like ours has (when they play any D with a pulse) they will struggle. I dont know if tua will start next year or play more. Jalen seemed to progress some as a passer especially in the LSU and MSU games, but we can all agree Tua is the better passer still. Jalen has strengths over Tua as well. My point being, if Tua was back there we would probably be more critical of his flaws and decisions like Jalen. I do believe that we have no identity on offense this year. I believe Tua could spark the passing game and make defenses defend us differently which might help keep defenses off balance.

On the Dline, I knew it was gonna be bad after the MSU game. Injuries played a huge part for sure, but the Dline hasnt been gettting much push this year. I chalked it up to just the amazing d line we had last year and thats why it looked so bad but the proof is in the pudding. What needs to be changed? Position coaches would be my start.

I thought that the dline was ok.

Our Oline was getting dominated by a four man rush.

This has been beaten to death. This isn't the best o-line we've ever had. But, we've won NC's with worse. It's difficult to run block when the box is loaded. It's difficult to pass protect when they send extra blitzers, or the QB holds the ball for 5 seconds. And, all of that is because teams don't fear our passing attack.

The d-line, again, isn't as good as last year. But, it's a lot better than most. I'd say our biggest issue on D is that we were playing with different LB's almost every weak, and some of them not as good as we usually have. Injuries killed us there.

We have not won NCs with worse olines - 2015 started out the same but progressed as the season went on. 2008 to 2012 olines were so much better than what we have seen from 2013 and on.

This!! No excuse for that AT ALL! 5 blocking 4 and we get our asses run over and pushed back. I can understand missing a blitzer, sometimes you just don’t see it coming. But 4 beating 5 means you’re just get physically whipped. Doesn’t matter what twists or stunts they are running, you should be able to hold your ground. I’d be embarrassed and pissed off.

D-line was fine, especially when you take into consideration the injuries to Hand, Lewis, and Miller.

OL was an issue, and honestly has been for the past 3 years. Not sure what the issue is there.

Maybe the scheme changes.

I feel like our D-line is decent, at least against the run. For the most part, they did a good job with Kerryon Johnson. That being said, they generally get very little pressure on the QB, that's why we have to blitz all of the time, which will inevitably burn us sometimes. Maybe that will get better by the bowl game with Miller and Lewis getting healthier.

I don't disagree about the O-line. Maybe they will shake up the personnel/line-up before the bowl game. Supposedly a lot of our offensive linemen are not playing in the position that best suits them.

2015's o-line Got demolished in the championship. One of the worst units in the country in terms of plays for loss

O line played poorly in pass pro. But Hurts also broke out of the few clean pockets they gave him and held the ball for over 5 seconds. He made them look even worse than they were.

Still, fire Brent Key

I know, they were playing a great front 7 but that unit showed improvement as the season went. Overall though, that was my point - oline play has continued to regress since 2012.

Not sure if this is all on Key or if he should be fired after one year, Cristobal's hands are all over this IMO.

If you say so, but it seems like revisionist history to me. A lot of those lines that were great at run blocking, I remember constant complaints about their pass blocking. And our run numbers look pretty damn good this year, especially considering our passing woes.

I'm not an X's and O's expert. But, I don't think this offensive line is as bad as a lot of people think. I don't think it's the best we've had, but I also don't think it's been terrible.

OLine would be fine if We played the best players. No way Wills and Leatherwood werent better Womack and Cotton.

They weren't sending extras. Auburn went to a prevent the last possession and we couldn't block 4 men with 6.

Well, I was looking at more than one futile possession to formulate my opinion.

Well if it was the extra LB that were making the play it would be fine but Holland destroyed Matt Womack all night long.

When? 1961? This is the worst OL since 2007.

We'll never know, but I absolutely agree that Womack and Cotton aren't very good. There's no way in hell Cotton is the #3 guard in his class right now...his ranking coming out of HS. Womack was the #67 ranked OT...and that's exactly the level of play we're getting from him.

Yep. As someone else said, 2015 improved as the year went on but overall we've been mediocre at best for some time now.

True.

And this line is still worse.
