I guess it all depends upon timeframe...Bama's won 5 in the last 10 years (while playing in 7) and Clemson's won 2 in the same period (while playing in 3)...and if Bama doesn't win another under Saban (or within the next 3 years), then this will probably be marked as the end of the dynasty. Next year will be a defining year for both Bama and Clemson; if Bama wins next year, their dynasty lives on...if Clemson wins next year, that'd be 3 in 4 years, something only three schools in history have done and the talk of a Clemson dynasty would carry a lot more weight...if neither wins, who knows...

As for comparisons with New England, the Patriots are generally seen as a dynasty for winning 5 Super Bowls in 16 years...while losing 3 in the same time period...
