The biggest "scratch your head" moments from the game

My nominees are
1. Fair catch on the kickoff. Gets the ball at the 21. Not smart to fair catch it in the first place. Maybe the refs just punished Bama an extra 4 yards because of how strange it was to fair catch that there.
2. The taking the helmet off right after the Murray sack. No excuse, even if you think the refs screwed you, but they didn't.
3. The false starts/ holding calls on the 3rd and inches. The OL never needed to move, it was going to be a run up the middle.
For the most part, the team played excellent, but there's no place for these careless mistakes against a tougher opponent.
Any other suggestions?

Was over served at the establishment I was at but the fair catch of kickoff was about as bad as it gets IMO

Tua forgetting where Jacobs was and trying to hand it off to no one then taking a sack.

When Q sacked Murray and Samia jumped on him. The Ref got pulled him off (sort of); but there was not unsportsman call... It was blatant attack on Q for the roughing of Murray, and Samia should have been flagged. But that is just me and I may be just a bit biased

My thought on the fair catch is that with Robinson not being the deep man that he's been instructed to fair catch the ball and Jacobs really is the only one who probably has the green light back there at this point in the season.
I feel like the coaches probably didn't address the contingency for an opponent kicking off from their own 10, and Robinson just did what he was coached to do.

Dieonte Thompson on the long bomb where he and McKinney got burned...he looked like he was going half speed and not concerned that someone might be flying by him

Actually Jacobs moved around his backside while Tua was signaling coverage to the OLine. He never saw him move. I don't know if that was on Jacobs or Tua.

Josh Jacobs repeatedly clapping yet Ross Piersbacher refusing to snap the ball.
Had Ross just snapped we score inspite of #74 mistakes and the poor ref call.

Jobe trying to decleat Waddle on two straight punts

Tua moved him, but apparently he thought he had moved him to a pistol spot when Jacobs was in the gun. I tend to think Tua just changed the direction from left to right and that Jacobs was correct.

No you meant passing the ball. Jacob was wide open by himself and instead threw to smith. There was no run play.

That was two different plays.

Pretty good list.
Taking the helmet off bothered me most of all. It wasn't the case of being in a very odd situation (opponent kicking off from their 10) or mental execution errors like the false starts.
It was pure, unadulterated stupidity.

The refs made the right call here -- since the signaler didn't make the catch, the 25 yard line rule was not in play.

OU's second on-side kick attempt; Bama was fortunate that an OU player touched the ball before going ten yards because the Bama players on that side of the field were blocking instead of looking for the on-side kick.

Yeah it looked like he (or maybe McKinney couldn’t remember who was closest) could’ve dove and broke that deep pass up. But neither did anything. Was weird.
