The Arkansas game will tell us everything we need to know

The LSU game, coming out of the bye week, should have been the indicator for this team’s true potential. With the losses in skill and leadership from last year’s team, I think it’s perfectly reasonable to extend the timeline just a bit.
This weekend‘s game against Arkansas is it. We’re at home against a good team. If we stand a chance against Georgia, this game will show that to be true. If we struggle with dropped passes, bad reads on pass coverage (especially for LBs over the middle), or blown blocking assignments this late in the season, we should reset expectations. I won’t be angry or even disappointed. I’ll just recognize this team has a lower ceiling than I was hoping for.

So no blaming coaches during the game thread?

I'm always going to think Saban and company can win it all. I think so this year too, but with our losses to the draft and the injuries if we finish the regular season 11-1 there's no legitimate way anyone can look back on this season and say it wasn't a success regardless of what happens against UGA.

This is my expectation, it has already been adjusted given how far we are in the season.
IF we come out, play a complete game with strong efforts in blocking, pass catching, tackling and generally being in the right position, etc. in the next two games, I will have to adjust my expectations for SEC championship - although it will take a hell of a lot at this point for me to be confident going against Georgia should it play out that way.

This team is so dependent on #9 having a great game in order for Bama to beat a decent team.
Hoping Bryce is on target on Saturday.

Just making it to the SEC title game would be a win for this season in my book. I have no expectations beyond that.

He is absolutely the most valuable player on our offense.

Arky does a good job of keeping the score close. They take away deep passes, and make you throw underneath, and try to force turnovers. Or make you kick field goals. I hope we can run the ball some.

We may need to put Will Anderson on the offensive line. Maybe he’s just as disruptive…
But in all seriousness, we’ve been saying this for weeks lol.

So if they stink it up Saturday, I think we need to push to the Iron Bowl to get a true measure of this team.

Man, I just hope we beat Auburn.

I'll say it again.
This team plays down, and up, to their opponents.
They are inconsistently consistent.

We’re 10 games into the season. I’m already at this point. They are who they are. Good, not great.

I'm still praying our OL will "man up" & play well.

I had hopes going into the bye week that the team would get it figured out and be able to play sound football in all phases starting with LSU and onward, and by the time the SECCG rolled around, we would be a borderline dominant team.
Obviously that didn’t happen with the LSU game, so instead of “resetting expectations,” I threw them out the window all together and am just taking in each game as they come - hoping we can pull out the win in whatever way necessary.
I wouldn’t put money on us to beat UGA or win the natty, but I also wouldn’t have put money on the 2017 team at halftime to come out and win it all either lol. I absolutely think this team is capable of winning it all, but they are going to have to really dig in and fight for this one. I’m very excited to see how it plays out, and especially interested to see how tGOAT CNS responds to being the hunter and not the hunted for the first time in a long time.
There isn’t a chance on God’s green Earth that anyone is going to be able to convince me that the man isn’t going to fight like hell to bring it home this year just because he sees a good team in Athens, or Columbus, OH or wherever.

I expect The Hogs to attack the space that Anderson left behind while rushing their QB. The Hog TE will be on the John Mackey list after our game.
