Brandon Avalos and Marc Guillon were far worse than Spencer Pennington.

Except for Ardarius the #13 feels pretty exclusive to Tua in Bama football history. I’m in my mid-twenties so excuse my ignorance if I’m forgetting a big one

ETA: Aaaand turns out i forgot a huge one

Brandon Avalos played one game and he barely threw the football. Pennington started for a season and a half and eventually quit the team to focus on baseball. His poor play cost us in many games.

A lack of talent cost Alabama many games.

Pennington has major arm problems that derailed his football career.

Pennington was a good dude and he tried his best. It’s the coaching staff’s fault for keeping Brody in the game in the second half against Western Carolina and for not having an SEC caliber QB on the roster after Brody left.

I understand this. "Ears" Whitworth was also a good dude who tried his best, but that still doesn't change the fact that he's our program's all-time worst head coach.

Dammit here we go again.

I get really pissed when people talk shite about Spencer Pennington. He played his butt off for our school. We sucked back then. We had players that came to Alabama knowing we couldn’t compete at a high level because of crippling NCAA sanctions.

He was supposed to be our 3rd String QB. Let that sink in.

You shouldn’t talk shite about a player that did the best he could under impossible circumstances.

Marc Guillon was awful. Avalos was even worse than Guillon though.

Didn’t Avalos quit to play baseball at Shelton state?

Pennington was at Alabama to play baseball, and they asked him to play football to help the team. It was during scholarship sanctions. He was third string and ended up having to play. The guy was unfairly hated on.

Also, he still lives in Tuscaloosa and is an awesome guy.

Always liked Pennington and was he really worse than Freddie Kitchens?
