Well not so much that win, but more the other upsets have basically set up a mulligan for Bama.

Obviously if we beat Auburn and Georgia we're the #1.

If we beat Auburn and Lose to Georgia, UGA is #1. Winner of Clemson/Miami is #2 (Miami could make a case for #1). Oklahoma wins out they are probably #3.

Bama would be 12-1 and #4 only team that would have an argument would be an undefeated Wisconsin would probably beat us out, but I don't see them finishing undefeated.

If Bama loses to Auburn winner of Auburn/UGA is in, loser is out. (Once again I'm assuming Wisconsin can't go undefeated, or if they do Oklahoma drops a game). Bama at 11-1 is in over Notre Dame, a 2 loss Pac 12, a 2 loss Big 10 or a 1 loss Wisconsin.

The pac 12 is eliminated so is Notre Dame
The big 10's only hope is Wisconsin running the table
the big 12 needs Oklahoma to run the table
The ACC will be Clemson/Miami winner
The SEC most likely gets in if the champ isn't Bama.

Don't underestimate the committee's aversion to putting two in from the same conference. I think they avoid it if at all possible.

Who would they put in over a 1 loss Bama?

2 loss USC?
2 loss Ohio State?
1 loss Miami?

All the teams that could make an argument over Bama have lost an extra game already. Bama's 1 loss would be to a top 10 team on the road.

I'd worry about that one.

I'd be disappointed if they put a 2 loss OSU team over an 11-1 Bama team, especially if our loss is super close, while OSU will have lost in two beatdowns.

I'm not putting it past Wisconsin to finish undefeated. They'll beat Michigan and Minnesota. They'll have their hands full with Ohio State, yes, but Ohio State has shown the ability to lay an egg on multiple occasions this season.

If OU loses again Bama might wrap up a playoff spot with a win over Mercer.

If Bama loses the Iron Bowl, it will be best for Miami and Wisconsin to win out and OU to lose again

If that happens Bama is in the playoffs.

OU could easily drop one in the B12 title game with a rematch with OkieSt. When they played a couple weeks ago the only reason OU won was that their D made one more play than OkieSt.

I've learned to not even try to figure this out until the dust settles after the conference championships. I'm just going to hope for 3 more wins in that time.

No way, no how are we in if we lose against Auburn or Georgia.

The committee has shown that while records are important, they place a ton of emphasis on who's "hot" at the right time. You're fooling yourself if you think otherwise.

It's just our tough luck that our last two games (assuming we get to the SEC Championship) are against two outstanding teams.

If we lose to Auburn, the committee will use the "not even the champion of their conference" excuse, even though they ignored that last year. The winner of the SEC will go to the playoff, and nobody else from the SEC will get in.

Let's be honest. If we lose to Auburn, do we deserve do be in it? Look at the resume. It's not strong.

Oh I obviously would be too, but I just wouldn't put it past them.

Miami's 1 loss would be to the #1 team in the country while playing in the conference championship game.

Right now OU is playing TCU in the CG if both win out as TCU holds the tie breaker.

Who would go in over a 1 loss Bama team, if Wisconsin and Miami both win out and OU loses again?

OSU would have 3 losses, Clemson 2, ND 2,Pac 12 champ 2. Auburn would have 3 or Georgia would have 2, OU 2.

South Carolina could help out the SEC with a win over Clemson.
I wouldn't count on it, but it's there.

Yep.

There are way too many what-ifs to bother with it.

Win the SEC and it isn't an issue anyhow.

If either Clemson, Miami, Oklahoma, or Wisconsin lose a game we're in.

The odds of that are extremely likely.

You could do a money line parlay bet on that in Vegas and get great odds. One of these teams is going to lose one of these 9 games and give Alabama a path. More than likely there's more than one upset listed below.

Clemson @ South Carolina
Miami vs. Virginia
Miami @ Pittsburg
Oklahoma bye (Kansas)
Oklahoma @ West Virginia
Oklahoma vs. TCU
Wisconsin vs. Michigan
Wisconsin @ Minnesota
Wisconsin vs. Ohio State
