People bag on Bama for not being loud, but during the Saban era there have only been 2-3 competitive games a year on average and half of those or more are on the road.

The era of cupcakes and dismantling lower tier SEC schools 49-7 gives an inaccurate idea about what Bama gamedays are about.

Judge the big games, no one including LSU is loud for the cupcakes.

Unless it’s Troy they’re playing.

I went to an Alabama/Auburn game at Byrant Denny a few years ago. Sat in the lower bowl. Alabama has a lot of blue hairs older crowd that hate to cheer. That was my impression from that section. Overall stadium noise was good but could have been even better.

All of the big stadiums in the SEC are just as loud as the others, and that includes BDS (I've been to 12 of the 14). None of them are noticeably louder than the others.

Agree - Athens is a great setup with downtown and campus basically only being split by Lumpkin St. The stadium is kind of on the other side of campus, but it's a very good set up. They campus doesn't have a true central spot like we do with the Quad - they kind of have North Campus and then the Campus area around the Stadium on the South side. Still a pretty campus and a great downtown that kind of flow together.
Really the only bad part about Georgia's setup is the terrain.

Yea, the terrain crests in the middle of campus, so if you are going from downtown to the stadium it's a haul.

Well you have to have serious cash to get lower level seats at big games at BDS, and blue hairs are loaded with it. I went to the ‘14 Iron Bowl and had upper deck seats (lower part). It was hard to enjoy the game because a 100 lb old hag enjoyed complaining and yelling about seat space more than watching the game. It sucks, but BDS will be a quieter stadium till they limit the hoarding of season tickets. I had season tickets in ‘15 and will never do that again.

I'd take tickets in U3 over lower bowl tickets any day.

I don’t think there’s a bad seat in the stadium really. It just seems like there’s bit more room in the lower level.

There's definitely plenty of bad seats.

I have season tickets in U4 and they are fantastic seats and the people around there seem to get into the game moreso than the lower bowl

I guess I have yet to experience sitting in them. I’ve sat 10 rows from the field and as high up as two rows from the awning. The only problem with the upper deck is getting to the bathroom and concession stands. People don’t know how to walk or make room for walking.

It’s not my preference either.

I don't mind the first few rows on the West upper deck, or the first few rows of the east upper deck for a night game. Never sat in the end zone upper decks, but have walked up there during a game. First few rows probably wouldn't be bad.

I prefer around rows 30-40 in the lower bowl. I miss the seats in West U2 my parents used to have.

It's tough to win at Auburn if they have a solid team. Not overrated at all. JHS may not be the toughest place in America to play but it's right up there with any of them. If our teams are close any particular year and we play there, we lose. Just the way it has been.

Tennessee has a shithole for a stadium. Most of you guys have probably been so no need in giving the reasons.

LSU is a fun away game imo. The stadium is outdated but huge and very loud. The seating is ok but if you are seated in tiger stadium you probably won't see much of the game.

You guys know how much I hate playing Georgia in Athens. Nice campus, nice stadium for the most part but even when you don't have to put up with shite talking fans the barking from adults is just irritating to the point it almost ruins the trip.

The swamp can be intimidating if they have a good team. I have never been when that was the case though.

South Carolina is an awesome experience. Those folks love their football more than you would know. If they ever build bigger they will fill it up for the bigger games.

Vandy is cool if you like to spend time in Nashville.

Overall, the SEC has cool stadiums almost everywhere. I have been everywhere but Missouri. Some of them could use at least some modernization and better restrooms etc (Auburn) but I like to go to as many away games as I can. It's fun to go to most of these places. I don't even mind the cowbells.
