Hopefully we'll start incorporating some of the freshman receivers and Trey Sanders in to get prepared for LSU and Auburn.

How did we end up doing compared to the Georgia prediction?

Quite a bit better - that was way too early to do much with this stuff, just not enough stats/information.

Last week's was pretty close.

Alabama - 48 (48)
Tennessee - 25 (17)

Alabama
547 yards (8.82) (587, 7.70)
414 pass yards (14.4) (11.60)
133 rush yards (4.0) (4.30)

Tennessee
385 yards (5.32) (302, 4.80)
257 pass yards (6.87) (6.50)
129 rush yards (3.66) (3.70)

These numbers from our offense are pretty wild

Pass Yards Per Attempt
> Bama: 12.43 YPA
> Opponent D averages (not including Bama): 7.25 YPA
> Alabama is averaging 171% of opponent Pass YPA Averages Allowed

Rush Yards Per Attempt
> Bama: 4.53 YPA
> Opponent D averages (not including Bama): 3.77 YPA
> Alabama is averaging 120% of opponent Rush YPA Averages Allowed

It seems to me it should be predicting pretty well now, considering the mix of the five teams we've played.

Damnit, George.

I wanted you to actually post the numbers. I'm too lazy to look them up myself.

LSU's defense man - holy smokes

LSU's Defense - Stats

LSU Pass Defense
> LSU allows 9.18 YPA Passing
> LSU's opponents (outside of LSU) average 6.47 YPA Passing
> LSU opponents average 142% of their averages against LSU

LSU Rush Defense
> LSU allows 4.78 YPA Rushing
> LSU's opponents (outside of LSU) average 3.49 YPA Rushing
> LSU opponents average 137% of their averages against LSU

Even this past weekend

> South Carolina vs AU/FLA/VOLS/VANDY: 6.28 YPA Pass
> South Carolina vs LSU: 10.64 YPA Pass
South Carolina averaged 169% of their YPA passing for the year vs LSU

> South Carolina vs AU/FLA/VOLS/VANDY: 4.25 YPA Rush
> South Carolina vs LSU: 5.83 YPA Rush
South Carolina averaged 137% of their YPA passing for the year vs LSU

Miss State is another one of our injury teams. I do not want to play them, thanks.

Why does everyone want the guys who aren’t starters to play?

Bolden is the clear number 3.

He was the #3 in yesterday’s game, but I wouldn’t say he can’t be beaten for the position. He missed a TD catch and fumbled the ball so I wouldn’t say he’s clearly a lock. In the past when Bama didn’t mostly rely on offense, it wouldn’t be as big of a deal. It was probably just nerves though. I think he’ll develop.

George, you need to do 10 games weekly and charge folks to see them. You get damn close. I’d be a gambling SOB

Slade will get better. That’s the most action that he’s seen since high school. He still almost had 100 yards

I'm not wanting him not to start. Just with Waddle out now, we will likely need a greater collection of talent to help fill the void. I think Slade is a good player. Just want to see what the other receivers have to offer.

We need to start playing some of the younger guys anyways, including Slade. Gonna need them next season.

Not saying that he will, but Mac should look into turning pro, if his season continues like this. It will be hard to follow it up next season

That's what I was hinting at. Javon Baker was showing out from what we were told. Jones Bell and Holden have potential. Might as well play them with this year being so weird and the eligibility rules in place. This week might be a good time to see what they can do. Sanders should be better as he gets more in game reps, too.

Our game with LSU will be one nasty shoot out.

As for our game with MSU, I was surprised earlier looking at some stats and I saw we were averaging literally double the yards per pass attempt as MSU. I know Leach offenses are very pass heavy, and tend to lead or nearly lead country in passing ypg, but I am not sure about if they usually have a high passing yards per attempt or if it’s strictly due to very high number of attempts

Leach offenses throw the ball 70 times a game. It's a wonder that their QB dosen't have to have Tommy John surgery once the season is over. The LSU game will be similar to Ole Miss I'm afraid.
