The said our third string QB did not dress out? I dont think it was anyone that was on two deep if we had anyone at all. And it may have been a contact tracing thing other wise if a QB had covid then the other QB's may have had to quarantine.

Updates on LaBryan Ray, missing players from pregame warmups (BOL | segments)
quote:

-- Defensive end LaBryan Ray (elbow) had a brace on his left arm but is dressed out and going through pregame drills. He appeared to be limited, however, and the first-team defensive line in pregame warmups were Phidarian Mathis, DJ Dale and Justin Eboigbe...

-- I didn’t see Darrian Dalcourt, Jah-Marien Latham, Shane Lee, King Mwikuta, Pierce Quick, Kristian Story, Paul Tyson or Stephon Wynn in warmups...

ETA: Jahleel Billingsley steps up with Forristall out versus Kentucky (BOL | segment)
quote:

... He saw more opportunities in the game and took a lot of reps in practice last week due to starting tight end Miller Forristall not playing for precautionary reasons, per Nick Saban. “He has a sprained ankle, a little bit of a shoulder,” Saban said of Forristall. “We could have played him today. He could have played today. I just decided and told him, ‘Hey, we’re only gonna play you in an emergency, if we need you. We need to get you healthy.’ Those other guys had taken most of the reps in practice all week, so that gave them an opportunity to play and Jahleel and some of them made some pretty good plays.” ...

We didn’t see Miller Forristall in the game, and I was worried it might be COVID related, but Saban said after the game that they were just letting him heal up some more since he has been banged up. He was dressed and could have played in an emergency.

Yes he is, but I don’t think he played at all. #88, Major Tennison, was in some including on the first touchdown.
