At the moment, Alabama basketball is no worse appealing than LSU ever was.

And even if they were, they aren't finding one any sooner.

Anyway, wouldn't any prospective coach be put off by possible sanctions?

yeah, but not a good one.


One of the reasons Avery is reasonably safe, is there's really no one out there who isn't a mid-major prospect (ie, a huge risk that we'll be back here in 4 years) or comes with a lot of baggage (no, we're not touching Pitino ever). Nothing but lateral moves as far as the eye can see.

Unless LSU ropes in Billy Donovan or something, this is not a great time to replace a coach.
