I was “drafted” from soccer so I never did the square toe but the guy before me did and actually the only reason I went to varsity so soon was he broke his toe . That’s crazy though so kickoff was left and placement right. I was everything left. Punting was my natural position but placement and kickoff weren’t far off.

Sounds like you had an interesting career.

I could kick with more pop soccer style (left) but could not control direction very well. Straight on kicking (right) better direction control but 35 yards FG was best I could do. So placement, PAT was the only useful option I had. I could punt either leg but control was equally bad from either side. Only punted in a game 1 time after 9th grade and it was a shank. It did go a long way...out of bounds

Judging by how the secondary is playing he might give that up as well. Bama has to lead the SEC in PI calls.

Our new technique is grab them as they run past you

Add to all this misery on kicking is that Daniel Carlson grew up an Alabama fan. Not sure about baby brother Carlson.

saban plainly said in his pc last night, that reichard told him during warm-ups he was hesitant on kicking, but good on punts. no pain on punts. so, given that hes been punting in practice they let him punt. as we all seen, it looked off from the time he caught the ball.

but, lets face it, perine outdone all of them last night. we havent seen those type punts since jk left.
