Small helmet updates for 2019

I noticed that they updated the "BAMA" decal on the front of the helmets with raised lettering and updated font. Also added "Crimson Tide" in raised lettering on the backs of the helmets. I'm a uniform nerd so I thought it was cool.

It’s about time we did this. Big fan of it. Other programs have been doing this for a while and its a cleaner look.
Wish we’d add the state flag to the back of the helmet as well.

By the way, I saw that we replaced the padding in the end zones and updated the font there. Did we finally do away with those Fran-era "Bama" awnings? Those were/are God-awful not to mention the color & font are totally different than everything else.
Between the sidelines, midfield logo, end zones, pads, awnings, and scoreboards, we have 5 different types of fonts floating around BDS. Just seems really sloppy.

Yep they sure did. New awnings with the script A logo. Those old "Bama" awnings were horrific. I believe the one in the south end zone was actually there in Dubose's final year! I like the new padding.

Terrific news. Someone wised up and made a good move. Really surprised it took this long to do that TBH considering all of the changes we've made in the stadium since Saban got here.

Funny thing about the white helmets. Sagan looked at 2 prototypes before the natty against ND. When the team came out they didn’t bring helmets to warm up, I was like this is it! When they came out for the opening, crimson helmets. Ultimate troll by Saban. Btw I own one of the white helmets they looked at.
