Zenitz - AL.com

quote:

Before Thursday, there weren’t any reported cases of SEC football players testing positive for COVID-19.

That’s not the case anymore.

Multiple outlets, including BamaInsider, reported Thursday that at least five Alabama players have tested positive for COVID-19 this week.

While AL.com has not gotten confirmation on an exact number in terms of positive tests at this point, we can confirm that several players have in fact tested positive for COVID-19.

Why are we the first team to report this? Every other team has been quiet but here we are.

You know good and damn well that other teams have infected players. It’s not just Bama. Also guarantee that they aren’t showing symptoms and had no idea they were infected

Simone Eli reported that none were showing symptoms. Tested Tuesday, practiced together yesterday, positive results came back today.

That's kinda fricked up hoping someone had COVID-19.

From a selfish fan standpoint, we'd be better off if it was Mac Jones to be honest. Whoever it is has no symptoms so their "recovery" will basically be two weeks of sitting around. I'd rather our starting QB get through an asymptomatic case now instead of contracting it in the middle of the season and missing 2 or 3 games.

In the videos it looked like multiple QBs were taking turns throwing to the WRs.

Also Marshall and Ole Miss.

But I'm glad Alabama has such quick and efficient testing.

Ahh thanks. I guess it just didn't blow up for others just because they aren't as big as Bama.

When anything happens at Bama, it becomes world news.

it's a pretty good bet that every team will be hit, so it's really better to happen sooner than later.

Honestly, we should get the whole team together and get this over with. They will all be asymptomatic anyway at their age as elite athletes. We don’t need this dragging out in the season.
