Scoring, YPP, Rush, Pass Offense & Defense comparing how each team performed compared to their opponents averages (not including the team being ranked). This helps take into account "who have you played".

If I have just enough pixels, it looks like Alabama is #1 in rush YPP and pass YPP. That seems almost improbable.
Or is it more common than I am guessing?

We're #1 in everything on offense. And honestly, it isn't really very close.
We've played the toughest slate of defenses in the SEC so far. Let that sink in.

This is crazy!
Does playing an all SEC slate help stand out for Alabama or maybe hurts them less than other teams.

The bottom line is we are much better than a lot of us thought. We are championship caliber and will get the chance to prove it.

All of the Analytical Rankings (SoG, Sagarin, SP+, Etc.) have really fallen in love with Bama as of late. It’s crazy to say but from the 2nd half of the Georgia game to now, this is some of the best football Alabama has ever played

As everyone has said, I need to see it on defense vs Florida, but it's become what I think Saban envisioned a modern defense would be.
Takeaways, make teams work for 1st down between the 40s, clamp down inside the 40. Our points per yard numbers are incredible.

Specifically, what do you want to see vs the Gators? Can Florida run the ball enough to keep us out of our 2 deep safety look? Can the OL keep the heat off Trask, who is going to be pretty much stationary in the pocket.

I think mainly continuing our trend of limiting big plays, forcing long field goals and limiting TDs, and creating havoc via turnovers. They are an extremely average run team, so I'd be shocked if they run it enough to make us walk a safety down. If so, we'll be in trouble.
If we end with a line of, say, 400 yards and 24 pts allowed against Florida I'll feel really, really good about the playoffs. Clemson will be their own challenge because of their balance, but I'll feel pretty good about our ability to limit the breaking.

In an all SEC schedule, our closest game has been a 16 point win at Ole Miss. We’re approaching ‘95 Nebraska in terms of dominance over the entire schedule and will surely set an SEC record for average margin of victory.
The defense has become “good” which is all they ever needed to be to make this an extremely dangerous team considering the talent and multiplicity of the offense. I haven’t watched another team this season that would beat us even 4/10 times. Clemson and OSU would obviously present challenges but really all that worries me about either is the quarterbacks ability to scramble and go off script. It’s why we lost to LSU last year, Burrow keeping drives alive with his feet. I like our corners against any WR group we might see, but we still struggle with backs and tight ends.
Florida is going to score on us because Trask is legit and has some big weapons. He’s a pretty high risk QB though when I watch. He throws some 50/50 balls that his guys usually win. His miss is a high miss so I expect we’ll pick him off a time or two. Florida won’t be able to stop us at all and if they get into chase mode that game will be effectively over. Can’t play one dimensional against us.

Yea - I'm trying not to go all-in because I vividly remember 2018, but this feels like one of if not the most complete teams of the Saban era at this point with the defensive improvement.
Excited to watch them the next 2 weeks and see if we can keep it up going into Atlanta.

Sark being an infinitely better playcaller than Locksley also helps.

Yep those 5 trips to the red zone with no points really hurt. God I hate that game.

That could easily happen with our defensive approach. It always takes a little time too to catch up with Mullen's gameplan. They use a lot of receivers and seem to dink and dunk more so than try to rush the ball. Puts me a little in mind with what Mullen was trying to do with Dak Prescott in our 2015 game in Starkvegas. They got a lot of yards but couldn't finish at the goal line.
I just don't think their defense is anywhere ready for our OL and balanced attack. If we control the LOS and TOP we will wear them down.

Crazy how Florida is 8 and 3 in Rush/ Pass per play respectively and makes second (and they are an elite offense) while we are 1 and 1 in each. Like our offense is really freaking good
